I can’t even play rumble pit and FFA with my GF. They are afraid of anything fun happening in social.
I promise, we won’t team up and cheat. If anything we’re going to steal each other’s kills and t-bag each other.

I think it is because most kids today cannot handle a little trash talk. I remember Halo 1-5 the trash talk was one of the best parts of the game. Halo 2 was great because you could talk trash to the other team just by being near them. It was awesome!
But, my generation is a lot more forgiving and tolerant so that’s probably why its not available anymore. Today’s kids would probably not know what to do and just literally fall apart.

It’s because of the change of times we live in and how easily offended everyone is now-a-days over the littles of things. People got to the point they no longer tolerate one another in my most games.
It’s pretty regular to see just about every game I play…
They don’t allow parties in FFA game modes because of people who would cheat in them and team up. Bad eggs ruined it for everyone sadly, those are the ones to blame.
Because we have to cater to the babies that cry when someone’s mean to them online, rather than those people simply muting people that hurt their feelings 343 chose the route have just having an anti-social game with chat disabled as default and no pregame/post game lobbies.

they are afraid of toxicity also why they got rid of spartan companies apparently. They dont want to facilitate a place where people can get together and be toxic towards each other
Wow, I thought it was a problem with my game or something. So they actually turned voice chat off? All settings are good for me, open mic turned on, etc.
so only way to voice chat with team mates is to join a party first?
No you can still chat with your team in gamechat. But it’s by default turned off so most people don’t talk.
I know. Still stupid. They made a ranked decision in the casual pool.
You can still type in the chat to all players in MCC. Why is it okay in MCC but not Infinite? 343 is making Infinite the most anti-social Halo yet. And then they wonder why people stop playing.
Halo was originally made to be a social experience and 343 has stripped all of that out. Halo can’t stand on it’s FPS gameplay alone because it’s not any better at it than the other games out there.

That is seems to be what would happen in 20% of the games, even just yesterday I felt the need to flame the enemy team, and sometimes apologize of the team gap

Well ‘casual’ is just a placebo, whilst there are no ranks, as long as SBMM is as prevalent as it is true social will never return.
Since Halo 2’s online multiplayer there’s always been a form of SBMM in every PvP playlist.
I never said there wasn’t, I said as prevalent.
Touché. Just wasn’t sure if you were aware that there has always been some form of SBMM in every PvP playlist regardless of the environment.
Personally I’m thankful that improvements to the skill assessor and the implementation of computer learning into the matchmaker have allowed for a much more effective SBMM to be possible regardless of the environment.
I’d much rather invest time in a game’s multiplayer knowing that all matches are not only aiming to give me a 50% chance of pulling off the victory, but that the system’s skill assessor is accurate enough to reinforce it.
It’s much better in my opinion than matches essentially boiling down to a random possibility of getting a match that’s balanced or an unbalanced waste of time.
