They aren’t actually gold, I don’t think. Just look out for a Banshee that doesn’t stop to attack you, it should just blast through. If so, kill THAT one.
It’s one of the only BOB’s that are more or less “random” being you can’t see him IN the Banshee. It’s pretty much “Shooting fish in a barrel”.
I dig this b/c it’s usually “Pick Your BOB”. Now they’re at least getting diverse.

Think you can only get it in New Alexandria, i’ve never gone for it, too much effort for me haha xD

I’m thinking you have to kill it with a banshee… and that it’s probably on top of one of the buildings somewhere… But who knows. Just YouTube it.

i know an easy way of getting him.
start the game and keep restarting level untill the club arera objective comes first, do the objective, go in your falcon and hold out for about 2 minutes (be sure to stay close to the club, after these 2 minutes the BOB banchee actually flies right by the club and you can just should him.
you can recognize him by the way he flies, he NEVER stops boosting
This banshee type does not attack you and boosts constantly. It also shows up around Club Errera at around 150 feet alltitude.

I did it usng the falcon, it was easy, and no it wasn’t on top of a building. This challenge is also possible on exodus, however the challenge will SAY to complete it on exodus and not NA. The only elites you find normally are in the hospital. Others can appear in the side missions, but the golden ranger elite will only spawn in a banshee, at low altitude. Hence: Fast and Low - it’s boosting and doesn’t stop or slow down to attack you, and appears around 150 feet.
This was annoying as all hell when bungie put it up. All I can remember was hanging out by club errea looking low for a banshee that never runs out of boost.
Just start NEw Alexandra on Legendary. Fly straight to Club Errera which is the building with the red/orange glow around it entrance. Hang around below the club entrance and at the 5.02 minute mark the banshee will spawn beside the building that is northwest of the club building (left of the club as you look at the front entrance. and fly pretty much due south very low and never powering done his boost. You just have to chase after him and keep shooting until it says Golden tree city challenge completed.
