Why did 343 make the plasma pistol unplayable?

The series s and series x default controllers have shortened triggers and the plasma pistol is charged by holding the trigger down which used to work with the old controllers, do they really expect me to downgrade controllers???

yes im talking about the default xbox series s and x controllers…never said anything about a 250 dollar controller.

Shortened trigger or not, it still charges if you hold it down yes?

No it does not and you obviously dont even play the game if not youd know already, so ofc you dont understand what im talking about.

I dunno what I did to upset you, but you really need to cool it off. Just trying to understand the situation.

So it doesn’t charge? Does it shoot at least?

I don’t use controller, but I do play the game. I play with people who use controller though (new, elite, and old models), but this is the first I’ve heard of the issue.

Is there anything in the Xbox accessories app to set different to remove that problem. ?

Have you tried switching control to the other trigger to see if it’s a faulty trigger of some sort?

works on my xbox one controller plugged into my pc lol. That’s really weird tho, haven’t heard of that til now. Perhaps you have a defective trigger or controller?

I thought at first maybe this post was in reference to how a charged Plasma Pistol shot no longer stuns vehicles.

It is a disappointing change. At least it still drops player shields I guess.

From what I can tell it must have something to do with balancing the game for the inclusion of electric weapons. But the Plasma Pistol really got the short end…

I still think the worst weapon is probably the Energy Carbine thing.

Sounds like a issue with your controller I can charge the plasma pistol just fine on my series x controller

I think this is an issue with your controller. I have issues with this on a regular Xbone controller or an off-brand one.

Sure the plasma pistol is garbage but that’s not a controller issue

Strange. I use a Series S/X controller and don’t have that problem. Seems you might have a faulty trigger. (I use Recon controller layout)
