Currently it’s a miracle for an Ai controlled banshee to not fly into a wall at some point.
The ai seems to be Halo Ce(maybe anniversary) Ai . A huge step backwards from reach. The enemy never coordinate attacks nor have any kind of group tactics. They don’t try to flank or suppress or communicate with their team.
The most complex actions in the game:
Elites jump from side to side whilst shooting.
Grunts have three options when overwhelmed. Run at enemy,Run away from enemy, keep calm and carry on.
jackals… i suppose they jog a few metres every now and then.
Crawlers climb on walls which IS impressive… But they still just shoot a little then change places
Lancers have that teleport thing. i suppose that’s similar to ai.
Friendly Ai is worse. Marines don’t even take cover and it looks pretty silly when they are engaged in melee combat with elites or hunters and take a dozen or so hits before they die. Spartans act exactly like Marines and they seem fairly comfortable in watching wraith mortars fall on them.
It makes halo less fun. It makes halo more repetitive to have such bad ai. Especialy on legendary,It would be more fun to fight enemies as skilled as the player rather than enemies who are dumb as bricks but have a lot of health.
At the very least could we have ai On par with reach (3 or so years ago) or perhaps half life 2 (NINE years ago)
