Thank you for your support.
I also think that the cast should not be changed unless there is a compelling reason to do so.
It sounds like the voice director did it for his own ego
Yes, I do hope that somehow 343 Industries will listen to the voices of Japanese users and reconsider.
that’s right
Not appropriate. I don’t care about HALO’s world view
It ’s an event that makes me feel that way.
Cortana is back
Ms Koike also plays Cortana in the original Trilogy
With her return, HALO is closer to her complete work.
I am happy.
But is the Master Chief affected by cold sleep?
I changed my voice and didn’t return.
I felt sorry again. I still want Mr. Tani to play
We have been waiting for Mr. Tojima’s and 343 Industries’s explanation about this trouble for over 9 years.
But they continue to ignore our voice.
Please Mr. Tojima and 343. Don’t ignore our voice.
I think that Master Chief after Halo4 is the different person who wore a Mjölnir armor.
I want the true Master Chief (Chief that Mr. Tani plays) will come back.
Infinite had a lot of HALO I love
But not enough.
the story of the Master Chief and Cortana was great.
The Japanese translation has a completely different line from the line that is conscious of HALO3.
There are problems peculiar to Japan, and it is fatal because Japanese people value their emotions.
This is the responsibility of audio director Tojima, so it can’t be helped.
Thank you for raising your voice. I agree with you.
Hi, I’m a Japanese halo fan. This is using machine translation.
I too would like to have Master Chief’s voice actor back. I’ve been a fan of halo since halo1, and I was very sad when the voice actor was suddenly changed in halo4. It’s like there’s a different person under the Chief’s helmet.
In halo4 and 5, I used to play with the volume turned down when the chief was speaking.
The voice quality of the current voice actor is different from the previous voice actor, and it doesn’t match the image of the Chief. The Chief, who was always calm and dependable, has become an emotional man.
Was there any point in changing the voice actor in the first place? In a long-running series, Master Chief is an iconic protagonist, but if the voice is changed, it doesn’t seem like Chief.
The dubbing in the HALO series is pretty good quality and I’d love to play the game dubbed, but since the Chief’s voice is different, I’ll play the game in infinite with the English voice.
For the sequel, I would like to see the voice actor for Master Chief go back to Atsuki Tani.
Cortana’s voice, back in INFINITE, is a perfect fit for the world of Halo. Master Chief isn’t bad, but it’s still Tani’s voice we’re looking for. For those of you in the English-speaking world, imagine that the Chief’s voice will no longer be Steve’s. It would be the biggest loss in halo.
I was hugely disappointed by the change of voice actor for the prophet of truth in Halo 3, and that was no where near as bad as changing Master Chief’s voice, also, that was the actors choice to not return from what I’ve read.
It sounds like the guy in charge of the japanese voice acting has no idea what Master Chief is supposed to be. Very upsetting.
To all our Halo playing Japanese brothers and sisters - G’Day, from an Aussie Halo fan.
I hope it turns out well for you all.
Kind of curious now. Who was the Japanese VA for Cortana? Does anybody know?
American I assume?
“But for us, Master Chief is Mr. Tani, and we want to hear his voice again.”
In North America, most Dragon Ball fans are the same way with the English actors. Knowing people in Japan are the same way with Halo is interesting to me.
This. I would never watch an oriental martial arts film in an English dub, it is ridiculous!
Why are people afraid to read?
It os an acquired taste. I remember when I first heard the Japanese dub I laughed and thought it was silly and ridiculous. When Super first aired I was not waiting a year and a half for the English dub I watched them brand new, by the time the English dub finally came out I found myself missing the Japanese voices. At first when you don’t hear those iconic voices you are used to it is just shocking and hard to accept at first.
My first exposure to watching anime in Japanese was Dragon Ball GT, which is an English dub I don’t think anybody likes. It was pretty easy for me to switch to Japanese after that.
This is Cortana’s voice actor.
Halo CE, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo Reach, Halo Infinite
Akiko Koike
Halo 4,Halo 5:Guardians
Ayumi Fujimura
The experience is different in movies and games. Can you read subtitles while fighting or driving?
In addition, some Japanese subtitles are not displayed in this game. I was surprised when I saw the letters N/A in the ending scene.
