why did 343 get rid of the Reach armor options?

Why oh why on Gods green earth would 343 in their infinite wisdom decide to do away with Halo Reach’s awesome armor customization options? Is there some technical reason Im missing or did they just want to make people mad? Cause right now, I can’t see a good excuse for doing away with possibly my, and many other’s, favorite innovation to come out of the Halo series.

I don’t want to unlock left shoulder, right shoulder, utility, and wrist from reqs…

I wouldn’t mind unlocking all that armor if I didn’t have to unlock emblems. For me 99% of H5 armor looks ridiculous. I would like my spartan to look like my spartan. If everyone has Achilles or its variant, how is that different? Just a different paint scheme.

Having a combination of Halo: Reach and Halo 4’s armor customization would be perfect.

So they could add “variants” of the same armour, just with different stripes, and claim the game has 200 armour sets.

212 thus far… 2 of which I have not yet unlocked and 1 of which I will never be able to unlock… because Athlon Champion.

Who’s to say? To complicated? Didn’t fit in with the req system? Could be those or not.

It didn’t fit in their concept for the req system and maybe they were short on time…

I would love it if Halo 6 returns to a system where you could unlock the armor you want with credits or something like that and some armors would require a certain achievement to unlock them.

The armor should have a reach style look (more realistic, darker, attachments like ammo or com equipment) and the Halo 4 level of customization options.

I’d rather have 30 options for each category that look well done, realistic and not freaky than 400 plastic power ranger sets I don’t care about.

Time

I’d just prefer more simplistic and rugged asymmetric like armour, Mark IV as an example. And less white stripes for crying out loud, if you’re going to do variations, please have it be more varied.

Also, who came up with Mark IV with racing stripes? Jesus…

Maybe someone from the design apartment brought his kids to work and somehow they mixed up concepts… Would explain a lot

They really got back to the basics with everything, hopefully they will get these options in the next halo

Am I the only one who thinks it would fit perfectly? Unlocking separate armor pieces in reqpacks would be a really cool thing

343 wanted a more unified look from the armor I think. They didn’t like the option to have mismatched shoulders or some stupid excuse like that.

No you aren’t,but imagine you want a specific piece but there are like 300 other piece with some fancy white stripes you could unlock

I quite liked the Halo 4 customisation, unlocking the specialisations was pretty cool IMO. I just wish I could recreate my Halo 4 Spartan in halo 5, the Ranger/Protector armour is impossible for me to get on halo 5.

Bugger I was hoping it would unlock once I have the rest :frowning:
So the two will not unlock meaning like you I’m stuck with 212 ( 99% ) and two unlockables.

I agree alot of armor is terrible and just ridiculous add that to lack of customization its a decent game but the req system and lack thereof is backwards.

I don’t know why but I hope they bring it back in Halo 5’s sequel.

Why did 343 get rid of the lobby and post game stats?!?!?!?
