In this news, 343 talked about ping and said improvements would be done, specially in South Ameria and Asia. 1 day after that post, the South American servers were closed and now we all have bad lag in all matches.
The game is unplayable . Me and all my friends are suffering from bad lag. We barely win matches now. Its a battle to simply stay alive and Im a Onyx.
Ive tried to reach 343 on Twitter but me and everyone who did the same has been ignored.
Wonder if they killed the server. If thats the case, I think Halo 5 is done for many here, including me.
I’ve noticed that there are a lot of laggy players on the NA servers. Perhaps 343 just moved all SA players to the NA servers? If so, bad idea for both regions.

I believe thats the case. I see many players teleporting now.
The worst part is they dont even tell us whats is going on. We even play eith Europe now, lag is even worse
I trully believe we are playing with a ping of 160+

The game is great but to be honest the last week was bad for me, Im even thinking in getting Rainbow Six and leave Halo for now. And I love this game
I have noticed a few Asians on our servers here in Australia but they seem to be happy to be getting games as apparently they can’t get games if they are on separate servers.
We at South America indeed had problems finding matches some times, but the game was working really good. Now the matchmaking work faster but the lag is insane
Perhaps they shut them down temporarily in order to fix the issues? It is a hell of a lot easier to fix a server that isn’t being utilized than to fix a server that has players using it.
Bungie did the same thing with Destiny just last year. They closed them down for about two days to fix some issues, then reopened them to the public.

Yes The lag is terrible. We have been played against US players last week. Why they don’t feel the lag? It is obvious that they do not have lag, because they kill you with 3 shot pistol. please 343 put us to play against SA players and just if there is not anyone here against NA players.

Odds are they are doing that. It seems too coincidental for it not to be related and I doubt moving people to NA would really improve their servers…
Lack of server support is just one of the unfortunate side effects of a dying population. While I do not like the game myself that doesn’t mean I think the servers shouldn’t be properly maintained, 343 is doing a horrible job.

The worst thing is there a lot of players that is getting used to the latency. I don’t understand how… it’s like you have aquired a service and is receiving 30% of it.
Here in Brazil, it’s the scenery i see everyday. It’s been 5 days that i haven’t played because the lag is too much.
Hey guys just wanted to put my two cents in. I live in north america, Middle of colorado actually, and ever since January actually, I have been experiencing bad lag. Players teleporting, dying before a enemy appears on my screen, shot through a wall. Unable to connect to serves… or my personal favorite is lag across the screen and suddenly i’m staring at the menu with no error message. Been making the game real unplayable, but hey my settlements in fallout are doing better because of it.
Oh and i also got a 17 minute ban for poor connection to the servers, called my ISP and everything was running okay. no connection problems to anything else but 343’s crappy servers… There are days i have been wondering if they are Cloud p2p servers and not dedicated servers.
