Competitive gamers like myself are simply complaining because we don’t like what we see so far almost nothing is interesting for us and making us want to buy Halo 4. Now like a lot of you always say wait till you play the game well we can’t. You don’t understand to a lot of people Halo is a big part of them it may sound stupid to some of you but that’s how it is. We get mad when we see Halo changing into something it’s not but we do know what we like and will enjoy in a game. Somehow I think 343 won’t reveal certain things about Halo 4 just to screw us competitive gamers over. But just one more thing What if Halo 4 does fail even more than Reach did and Halo drives into the ground then what will you say? You won’t say anything because I guarantee you won’t admit that you were wrong because you’ll feel like an idiot. I obviously don’t want Halo 4 to fall apart I just hope 343 knows what they are doing but if they don’t and it fails I’m gonna go berserk just to rub it in

Edit: another thing does anybody notice that competitive gamers suggest ways to make the casual gamers happy but casual gamers don’t give two sh*ts about the competitive players. I know I always try to have everyone love Halo.
Honestly im so sick of hearing “you just hate change” or “go play halo 3”. Competitive players want a ****ing new game too, you know? Its not our damn fault 343/bungie never puts in anything thats both skillful and new.
We love the grenade launcher, we love jetpacks as pick ups, we would love a spectator system. Theres so many things wed like as long as they were:
1 skillfull
2 not random
3 fun
But no, we dont get that. And you cant sit there and tell me that things like spartan points, custom classes, promethium(or whatever its called) vision, and distraction medals are there to increase skillgap. Thats bull****. At best sprint/jetpack will be tolerable.

change will always make the game different. What comes out on the other side is what Halo is.
No amount of complaining can change that.
Also, you believe 343 is out to screw you over?
MLG got to play Halo 4 already.
There will be several ranked playlists.
They are balancing AAs.
They removed bloom.
They brought back the old jump height and speed.
They specifically said multiple times you will be able to completely disable all the new features that are being added (not sure about sprint though)
343 is not trying to screw anyone over, they are actually trying their hardest not to piss anyone off, but naturally when you change something no one can tolerate it at first. Then it grows on them. Then they realize it isn’t all that bad.
Halo is my most invested in series, and I’m excited to see how the new change plays out.
Everyone got burned after Reach and now they think all change is bad. Reach was Bungie’s sandbox for their next game. They didn’t care what happened with what. 343 came in and fixed all that. 343 knows things need balance. The new changes will not be like the changes seen in Reach.

Actually, Bloom is back. Just in a different form.

They never said nothing about having ranked playlists and I actually don’t care much for MLG what I enjoyed playing was Halo 3 ranked playlists. I really do hope you are right and there will be ranked playlists cause that’s about the only thing that will keep me playing Halo 4 but only if it’s as skilled and competitive as Halo 3’s. But some changes I already know will not be good for competitive play and one of them is jump in/ jump out playlists I don’t care how it’s implemented or how it will work this WILL destroy competitive play. The only way it won’t is if it isn’t in ranked playlists.
and what about the people that think that what Halo is changing into is what Halo is? What if many players think that the changes with Reach and Halo 4 are what makes Halo Halo?
> and what about the people that think that what Halo is changing into is what Halo is? What if many players think that the changes with Reach and Halo 4 are what makes Halo Halo?
Then what does that make halo 1-3?
And if you say changing is the characteristic of halo, theres already thousands of games that are halo.
> > I enjoy halo for the game not halo for the name.
>
> Then why are so many people only interest in Halo for the name?
If you’re only interested in Halo for the name, why do you bash the players who care for how it plays? You will be purchasing it regardless, no? So why do you care if there aren’t Loadouts, Bloom, or Sprint? Because I certainly care if these features are implemented.
> I’m a huge competitive Halo Gamer 2-Reach and I’m extremely excited for Halo 4. Speak for yourself and the rest of the ignorant “competitive” players.
There was still a little bit of competitiveness is Reach but not as much as Halo 2 and 3 and don’t fricken lie u know there was. The thing is with stuff like a progression system it doesn’t matter if you win or not or if your good because you can still hit the highest rank just by playing lots. Not as much people are worried about winning in Reach because it won’t affect their rank just like COD. And now the worst thing added that will destroy that competitive play is jump in/jump out playlists. It’s a horrible idea because in COD I dont even know if I win or not cause I don’t care if I do I’ll still rank therefore it’s not competitive.

MLG’s Killa KC said he played a build of Halo 4 and it had a magnum that bloomed a little bit less than Reach but still quite a bit. Watch the best in esports live - MLG

Dude I always play competitive matches in Reach. I find them in mlg and *gasp! ARENA.
If these people are as competitive as they say…STOP LOOKING FOR AN EXCUSE TO WIN. you wanna know MY incentive to win?? WINNING!

Or onyx.
I personally play to get better, but thats pointless when the MM system either or both:
1: has a gametype with no skillgap (team slayer)
2: you always win the game 50-10, with no reason to get better. (griffball, big team, etc)
