WHY Competitive H4 needs AA and Loadouts and

I see alot of people saying Take AA outs it doesn’t belong it ruins the game. for H3 and 2 yes but not H4. what people need to understand is H4 was built around AA from the ground up it was made to play with it.So you cant take it out unless you want the entire game to be dull like Slayer pro. the same way you cant just throw AA into H3 you cant remove it fro 4. you want proof? Halo Reach! they made the game like every Halo then at the end they threw AA and loadouts in there. H4 would turn into Reach if we took those things out but backwards.

So it has to fit into Competitive as well. i think MLG knows this, i think some pros know it like Bravo, and walshy. of course not all AA and Loadout weapons should be in a competitive playlist or MLG. I think the Thruster and the Jet pack yes the Jet pack should be in maybe nurff it a little(for Mlg) the loadouts should be you can choose from a DMR, BR, Carbine, and LR, secondary a Magnum, and grenade. Boltshot should be a pick up. now for weapons on map it shouldn’t be random. and two power ups per map. like a OS and Cameo, or SB and OS on the map Now I’m not only talking about MLG NO I’m also talking about how i think the Ranking playlist should be like. 3 sec respawn and no JiP

Of course when you play the playlist you want always have all those options. maybe you’ll get Slayer on haven, IS on Abandon, and Sayer Abandon one time and the other you’ll get three different

Armor Abilities aren’t terrible. For me, they need to remove sprint, increase player base speed, and bring back effective strafe. Also, the bullet magnetism and auto aim is too high.

Competitive settings are going to be MLG settings once they get around to making them. Go bug MLG about it.

As much as I hate all the changes and hate on this game, I sadly agree. I have always said no TU could bring back classic halo, this sandbox just can’t accommodate it.

I don’t see anything wrong with the new sprint. To me, that was the only thing I ever wanted out of Halo controls. To press a button and sprint.

i think again like i said the game was made to have sprrint so you cant take it out it would just throw the game off

His opinion isn’t “Bias”.

His opinion is what it is. He doesn’t have an incentive to be bias to one view or another.

Here’s my take on it.

“Pro Slayer” is absolutely boring. It may try to play like old Halo but it just doesn’t. Hard to really put into words but even this stripped down version plays nothing like Halo 2 in terms of game play or spirit.

However taking Infinity slayer and making it the way ranked matches are played would be garbage too. The main issue is Ordnance Drops. I don’t want to be watching a competitive match come down to the wire and have one team have a player receive damage boost and an opposing player get Concussion, Needler, Speed Boost. I like the idea of Ordnance but it undermines the competitive spirit of Halo.

Weapon Drops on map need to return. By this I mean a weapon drop spawn is always going to be the same weapon. I don’t care if it’s static or dynamic timers, but weapon drops being an uncertainty doesn’t widen the skill gap, it lessens it. Players will argue this by saying “U SHULD B PREPARED 4 EVERYTHIN!!!”

No. It’s less about being prepared for whatever the map throws at you and more about what team is going to randomly be closest to said power weapon drop. A team doesn’t deserve to win on Solace because the map generated an Incineration Cannon right next to them. Things like this need to be changed otherwise it makes Ranks pointless.

I’ve played without AA’s, it was amazingly fun. I don’t see what you’re getting at. The game plays fine without them, ad is great fun.

Ofc he has an incentive to defend halo 4. This game has elevated his status. He’s the god dam champion. So ofc he would say that it was perfect out of the box, which he did, and defend it agaisn’t all opposition. Every attack on halo 4 undermines his achievements, so if that ain’t incentive enough to defend this game, I don’t know what is.

Well you and the other 6 people playing Slayer pro might like it but the others don’t. because it feels like a stripped down H4. no matter what you do to this game it will never feel like H3 or 2 because its a different game. thats why i think alot of elements should stay. of course random weapon drops IRS shouldnt but some AA and sprint should.

Also what do you guys think of my Ranked playlist set up?

Jet pack doesn’t need a nerf, its way weaker than reach!

I think Promethean Vision and Active Camo should be pick ups like Old School Halo.
Maybe auto sentry should be pick up for MLG BTB haha who knows.

You framed this statement so that it is impossible for him to defend vanilla settings, then.

What would he have to do to be able to show that he likes the original settings, with minor changes, while being as good as he is?

Let him speak for himself. There has only been one Halo 4 MLG tourney, and it was meant to be casual. He doesn’t have to defend that. He doesn’t have Halo 4 achievements to defend. Don’t put words in his mouth.

Ye i agree with this but the only thing is maybe for MLG the jet pack could use a little nerf but just for MLG not in the ranked playlist. and also the PV as a pick up would be great because you would be the only one with somewhat of a radar
