It’s a relatively minor thing that no-one has really talked about, But when I used to play the original Halo CE on my 360, it suffered from Epic Framerate Issues constantly.
It felt asif the game ran at a contant >25 FPS mark and when three or more plasma grenades went off it was reduced to a crawl of a framerate, this really ruined the experience for me whilst playing the old CE but After seeing the Classic mode in the CEA trailers, The framerate seems to have been fixed which was a massive relief for me, I might actually play classic more than modern mode simply because of the smooth framerate which looks to be 40 - 50 FPS.
So thanks 343 for ironing the only thing that hindered my enjoyment of the awesome sauce CE experience :).
The framerate is improved? I couldn’t tell I guess (because I’m not really sure what it is, I guess just how much can go on at once basically?). But if so, that’s awesome, I just saw someone posted on YouTube “I like how it has the same crappy framerate, just like the original” with some thumbs up.
Framerate is how many, well, frames run every second. Smooth gameplay is normally upwards of 20. If a LOT of things, especcially explosions or the like, Framerate goes down, trying to render everything.

Yeah, I was just kind of unsure how it spelled out into gameplay, but thats kind of what I thought, that explains it, thanks.
I can’t wait to play it. Frame rate issues are irrelevant IMO.

Well they can be a huge issue for online games, especially MMOs such as Wow (sooo many issues with game involving Framerate) but that is another nerdy story entirely… But honestly I agree, I love how the Framerates have been improved, but I will play mostly switching back and forth between the graphic settings the second time around, I want to play entirely with the newer Graphic settings the first time :), which hopefully will have a similar-equal framerate as playing in Classic mode

That be pretty cool if the frame rate improvements carry over the Klassic look of the game.
Don’t forget to turn on anniversary mode (new graphics) if you want to see the Terminals and Skulls
They won’t pop up in Klassic mode since they weren’t there 10 years ago.
This is no visible difference when it comes to 2 identical games, one at 30 FPS, and another at 60 FPS.
This is because they register too fast for the human eye, however the game with the faster frame rate will generally have better graphics and a lower tear rate.

Actually, there is a big difference. Look at how smooth COD is compared to Halo. For Halo to run at that smoothness, you need a really good TV.
On topic: CEA will run smoother than CE did, but they are not increasing the framerate. That would require a lot of extra work.
That would be awesome. I was hoping there would be some tweaks to have the game run smoother, so here’s hoping!

Lol your TV doesn’t make a difference in term of framerate ( Unless your using some 1970’s tube :S ) its the hardware that makes the difference.
But you’re right the difference between Halo’s 30 FPS and CoD’s 60 FPS is very noticeable and actually has an effect on the gameplay.
Halo could go 60 FPS if it wanted to, but it would have to sacrifice alot to get there, such as graphical capability, physics engines etc.

Actually, your TV does make a difference. I have 2 very nice TVs to play my games on. However, when I go to my friend’s house with his newer TV, Halo players a lot smoother than it does on my home TVs.
