Why can't we still do this?

Sorry if I sound like a complainer but WHY CAN’T WE FORGE ENEMIES IN FORGE? Like imagine a map that’s supposed to be a map for a war, but you can only have you’re friends play with you on it. Now imagine that map but with ACTUAL ENEMIES ON IT and you and your friends get to team up to see if you can take them on? How awesome would that be?

Awesome on paper.
A pain in the doodle to pull off, especially for Forge maps.

Far Cry 3 lets you create every facet of a map on consoles AND place friendly and enemy AI.

This includes time of day, weather, and plants.

Far Cry 3 destroys Halo 4 with its map editor alone. It’s a terrible game, but that map editor… if Halo 5 had a map editor like that, it would incredible. Don’t tell me Microsoft couldn’t do it, because they could.

Far Cry 3 uses a much different engine than Halo 4, it isn’t as simple as it sounds.

I am fully aware of this. My point is that Ubisoft completely built their engine from the ground up with Far Cry 2 using no assets from the original Far Crys (which also had full map makers on the original Xbox).

Halo 4 being one of the largest funded games has no excuse to not feature a fully fledged map editor.

I’m with you fully on that one, we likely won’t see an in-depth map editor with Halo until next-gen consoles because even now, Forge in its basic state is extremely limited due to frame rate issues when multiple objects are placed on the map, this is even worse when split-screen players enter the mix.

My problem is this:

Forge on Halo 4 sucks.
Reach had less options, but with limited Custom Game Options, H4 sucks.
Its a lose lose situation.

Guys but what I’m hearing is that it COULD be possible

Get Far cry 3

Well that’s not halo

Thats one of the reasons why I never looked into forge much ever since Halo 3. Once I realized I couldn’t create my own Firefight experience, I pretty much put it behind me.
