I have a question and a favor to ask this community.
Why can’t we just discuss halo 4 in a regular manner. By that, I mean why do ALOT of people just:
-complain and bash 343
-complain and bash halo 4
-compare halo 4 to previous halo games
-complain about halo 4’s population against other halos and call of duty
I’m getting sick of seeing these threads taking up precious space, especially when it’s just another “halo 4 ain’t as good as previous halos!” Threads.
Please, go to the halo 3 or general discussion area to compare 2 halo games population or gameplay wise. I don’t get why people do it in this particular forum section.
What I’m also wondering is what the monitors are doing exactly about these threads when these threads are basically “general discussion” threads.
Wy can’t we just talk halo 4? Why can’t I talk about the good times I’m having right now, and all the fun me and my friends are having in halo 4?
Every one of you need to please take into consideration, the fact that there ARE people who enjoy this game, and very much at that. We’re not here to complain and just rip on 343 and halo 4 all day, we ACTUALLY want to be here to discuss halo 4, but we can’t because of all these threads that are just taking up most of this space we have in the halo 4 section. I truly think most of these threads need to be moved, just because they mention “halo 4” a couple of times doesn’t give that entire thread comparing halo 4 to halo 3 the right to sit in the Halo 4 forum section. Why can’t it be put in the halo 3 section? Why can’t it be put in the general discussion area?
Simply put, in the end, I just want these hate threads to be moved out of this section. It’s really limiting the people who want to discuss halo 4, not just rip on it all day. It’s not fair to us who do like halo 4, were being held back because people just want to be negative about this game in general all day long, literally, day in and out, I rarely see ay positive threads.
Please, for the love of people who actually enjoy this game, please take action upon yourself and others for the love of halo 4 discussion…

Halo 4 hate threads are entirely relevant to Halo 4, nor are such threads somehow preventing you from posting positive ones.
You’re basically saying “My feelings were hurt by a Halo 4 hate thread because I enjoy Halo 4, please move them away from my sight” which is just plain ridiculous.
Besides, the forum would be empty without them and the few threads left would just be very bland and boring “RATE THE LOADOUT ABOVE YOU” threads, which has already been discussed to death to begin with.
Actually, forget I even shrunk that text. What is there even left to discuss casually (what you truly mean is without any criticism)? We’ve already discussed our favorite missions, loadouts, armor, so on. Nor are there any strategy guides being pumped out, or anything else of any substance.
Criticism is really the only thing left to discuss, and there’s tons of it to go around.

No you’re wrong, again you’re not looking at it from my perspective. I can post a nice title thread yeah, but it’s over ruled, pushed back down, left alone because there are SO MANY negative people who just come here to hate, troll, make fake profiles to try and make 343 look dumb, gang up on people when they day something nice about 343 or halo, and the ones who just come here to thank every post some one makes bad about 343 or halo.
It’s EXTREMELY hard to keep a decent thread about something in the halo 4 section alive.
Who are you to say we’ve discussed everything already? So what’s left then? Just ripping on 343 and ripping halo 4, right?

I LOVE HALO 4, IT’S MY FAVORITE CAMPAIGN (HALO WARS IS MY 2ND FAVE) AND I THINK 343 IS ABSO-FREAKIN-LUTELY AMAZING AND I PREFER THEIR STUFF OVER BUNGIE’S NEWER GAMES (ODST AND REACH) AND I THINK 343 IS RUDDY BRILLIANT AND THEY DESERVED THEIR GOTY MEDAL.
You are also implying there is anything inherently wrong with negative posts. I’m not demanding any positive posts be banished to a dark corner of the internet (though I admittedly wish they were).
But seriously, why do you even care if people post negative -Yoink-? I don’t see any other reason for it except you don’t enjoy having something you like get ripped on.
I wasn’t degrading your post. I was typing that while you posted it, so I had no idea you had typed it. I respect people’s opinions, I just can’t stand them constantly ripping on the game 24/7.

There are some aspects of Halo 4 even I enjoy.

I’d say there are almost as many threads like this one “why can’t we all be friends, I love 343, there’s nothing wrong with Halo 4, Camo is so awesum” etc. which have equally, or even less to do with Halo 4, than for example someone pointing out the suicide spawn on Settler or is frustrated because he/she keeps getting matched against people from the other side of the planet making the game unplayable due to havy lag.
it’s true. people need to calm the hell down, realize Halo 4 is actually a pretty awesome game with some issues, and understand that most things wrong with Halo 4 is due to an overeagerness of the developers to make the series their own and changed too much. And they are backpedalling and realizing that was a mistake. I hope.

If you like the game you like the game.
But hollow attempts at making it seem like you have issues with it just to appease the ‘haters’ isn’t really fooling anyone.
I keep seeing people say “Halo 4 is great and Halo 5 will hopefully fix the issues it has”. But what that makes me wonder is “If you already think the game is great, what issues are there that need fixed?”
As stated above, it seems like you are just trying to calm the ‘haters’ down than express any actual concern for the game.

There isn’t a solution because it isn’t a problem to begin with. Threads that contain nothing more then “HALO 4 SUX 343I R BAD WURST DEVLUPER EVER” with no substance tend to be locked and banned.
Just because you disagree with a thread’s content that does not make it lacking in substance. A hate thread can spur just as much, if not more intelligent discussion than a praising one.
The only unfortunate thing is the “stop whining” threads tend to get less moderator attention than the “Halo 4 sucks” ones, when they are both equally deplorable.

There isnt a solution besides dont give attention to the threads that are mindlessly praising the game or bashing it. Them types of threads are bound to be created its something that cant be avoided. But what we can do is refrain from giving them attention and to stop with threads that complain about complainers. It just makes things worse by inciting both sides to attack each other.

I don’t brand all criticism with hate/trolling, I just don’t like the stupid not so well thought out ones. I honestly respect the ones that are actually constructive.

Because they are entirely relevant to Halo 4 and do not belong in some dark, less populated corner of the forums. Comparing to older games is alright when you are comparing pros/cons of features or using evidence to back a claim. They are entirely constructive, regardless if you like it or not.
As said above, you have no legitimate reason except your own personal disdain for them. And that is the exact reason why I am so narrow minded.
People who defend Halo 4 rarely approach me with logical arguments.

I agree with you, and it sucks that this Community fell into a deep hole that it may never get out of.
I love Halo 4 and like you said, few rough areas to fix, some people will just bash that statement with: ‘‘OMG, NO MISTAKES ARE ALLOWED!’’, ‘‘BUNGIE COME BACK!’’,’‘343 SUCKS,NO MORE CHANCES!’’… you get the point.
Funny how a good part of the Community wants Bungie back, I like Bungie as much as the next guy, but I’m sure you know how some(or most?) Halo ‘‘fans’’ HATED Reach to oblivion and praised Halo 4(before release) as the ultimate Halo and when it was released,they praised Reach and ditch Halo 4. Weird cycle I know.
And here is a little message to the so called ‘‘Halo Fans that are 100% loyal to Halo since the CE days, but hate Reach/Halo 4’’ , if you really are that LOYAL, you’d be sticking with Halo 4, or any Halo game for that matter.

It’s not personal, it’s for the good of the whole halo 4 section community. I like how you’re just trying to get on my nerves. I notice how you post something offensive, and you quickly edit it. Like you’re having second thoughts on everything you type. Very impulsive.

No, 343 said they try to do their best, and they did. Everything they (mainly) want has been included in the game. If it is not our taste then deal with it. Post your CONSTRUCTIVE feedback, not just “it’s sucks, and you all sucks because you guys aren’t mind-readers, and I give up on this game because I’m too lazy and too idiot to understand it and learn how to play” They doesn’t said they will add everything we want, they said to try to do their best, It’s their beginning, it’s their first step.
Some of you high EGO people are bashing this company because they doesn’t made a game for your taste. You’re bashing them like they making Halo’s since 3000 BC and they now changed something.
It’s a game! It’s needs to evolve. It’s not a religion as some of you guys think. And it’s always played out with every Halo game.
Halo CE being bashed by PC gamers.
Halo 2 being bashed because glitches and lag.
Halo 3 being bashed by “veteran” Halo 2 players.
Halo Wars being bashed because it’s an RTS.
Halo 3: ODST being bashed because no competitive multiplayer and non full liner campaign.
Halo: Reach being bashed because it’s try to evolve.
Halo 4 being bashed by the same people bashed Reach, and “Veteran” Halo 3 players.
A ture fan of the series won’t complain that much.
Normal people whose dislike the game just simply leave without any sort of “This game sucks!” topics. If you guys just bashing, every new Halo title will born dead. You are those people whose destroy this franchise because you cannot accept ANYTHING outside of your own taste!
