Look we all have seen the forge results and even 343’s Joseph Staten stated how impressed he is from what he has seen what the forgers have made on Youtube. Yes it is kinda buggy but at least we can start to learn how to use Forge until we get the beta.
Given exactly what you said about the state of Forge and the impact it should have on the game, I think it should be obvious that the best course of action is to wait until it’s ready, feature complete, and thoroughly tested before wanting it released.
We’ve waited this long (which is another debate entirely), at this point it should be easy.
You don’t want forge now. From what my 343 friends have told me forge is both amazing and extremely buggy. It’s got a while left to cook before it can release in a useable state. I would say expect a delay.
In understand that but at least we can screw around with forge to at least learn some of the basics on how to use forge. It sure in the hell can’t hurt that’s for sure.
Given the complexity of some of the systems we’ve seen so far, I imagine there will be a series of official (or semi-official from Forge insiders) videos explaining the various tools / systems / etc.
Going in without these could be akin to learning something the wrong way, or learning how to do something inefficiently.
Your point stands, and hands on would nice, but ultimately I still think waiting is still the right move for them, and patience is the right move for us.
