Many times in the Halo Novels the Spartans deployed tactical nukes as a against all odds scenario. Why cant we incorporate this into game play? That would be so epic!

This is stupid maybe in campaign but even then not a good idea
Ha! A match of Warzone, you’re trapped in your base, two Achilles farming ONI Scorpions shelling your base repeatedly. You have no hope, then you hear Palmer’s voice say something you didn’t expect. “Take cover! Havok tactical nuke inbound!” The attackers frantically retreat as your base’s doors close, hoping to bar any nuclear fallout that comes your way. The base is in complete lockdown, but the only way you’ll survive is luck, it’s a friggin’ nuke for Nornfang’s sake! Then a timer starts counting down 10, 9, 8, you wonder if you’ll survive, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, this could be the end! 2, 1.
Was a stupid idea in CoD, would be even worse in Halo 5.
MP is supposed to be a training simulation for the Spartans. It wouldn’t make sense to end simulations early because one is doing to well. Plus, like I said, its just dumb

LOL! I was hoping someone would say that.
No, you don’t get a Tactical Nuke after going 30-0 in a game
Man, I do miss that CoD. Has no place in Halo though.
If it is good implemented I am fine with it.

No one said that it had to be for a killstreak, why not make it a REQ! That’s partially sarcasm, but it could be a cool way to end Achilles farmers.

Ftfy
Sounds fun. I’d also like a target locator.
bring in the helicopter!!!
Because CoD, that’s why. I don’t think it has a place in Halo gameplay, regardless of whether it would be “accurate” in the novels. Too OP, and then people would just farm more to get it.
I dont think they could balance them for MP but we need more Nuke in Campaign. NUKE THE WARDEN
In a Spartan training simulation, what would be the point? Detonating a nuke would in no way help Spartans train for field work. Wargames are there for Spartans to increase their skills. You could argue that the Assault gametype trains Spartans to deliver and arm weapons like a tactical nuke, but to have it implemented as a REQ or something would defeat the purpose of Wargames.
That’s what the “Scarab Gun” was created for. Mass mayhem!
Possibly make it a REQ weapon… But rather than having it instantly take effect, it could be carried like a machine gun turret and detonated when near enemies, or possibly even thrown. The effect would have to be limited rather than universal, ie it kills enemies within your line of sight only. Or perhaps make nuclear destruction an objective in Warzone firefight mode, where you have to deliver a tactical nuke to destroy an enemy ship or boss.
It would really depend on how its implemented in Halo nukes have only been used as last resorts, in gameplay it could come off as cheap and un skillful.
