Why can't we delete annoying Soft Kill Zones?

Everyone in the universe should be in agreement that ALL kill boundaries on maps in Forge mode should be delete-able in Forge or at least not affect the Forge monitor. Haven’t we complained about this since Reach? I just downloaded Majestic and I can’t even do a proper fly through in Forge to enjoy the beautiful new Halo goodness without dying left and right for just trying to get a damn birds eye view of the layout. I prefer an invisible wall over those annoying kill barriers any day.

Great job on Majestic BTW, but just please stop annoying us with those stupid restricting kill zones, or allow us to delete them so we can breath a little bit. Come on yall.

I agree with this guy. Invisible walls as boundaries are much better than stupid soft-kill areas. There so many neat spots in Forge that are literally 2 cm from not being a Soft Kill Zone.

Why do they build them into the map is what I’m wondering.

Why doesn’t 343I make the map and add the killzones with forge, so that you can delete them in case you want to make maps outside the normal play space?

I never complained about them.

They are annoying as hell.

Especially when they are places they shouldn’t even exist.

It lets you know where the boundaries are for the play space, with a soft kill boundary, you can still phase objects outside of the play space into them, which wouldn’t happen with an invisible wall.

I do not desire these killzones to be blocking my flight into the heavens, something must be done.

I also hate how they put them on top of rocks and ledges that aren’t even that far up. What if I wanted to spawn rockets up there or camp or something in CUSTOM GAMES? Ehh? Ehh?..

They are very annoying. Having only 10 seconds to place objects where I would like them to go to make my map is very annoying.

The only reason I can see for them is that they want to restrict us in what and where we can build.

Forging wise most of Halo 4 maps are very limiting. Ravine is a small forging environment, with a kill barrier not too far up. Where places you’d think you’d be able to go, but no. Erosion is a medium forging environment, it’s actually ok in my opinion. You can actually forge on top that weird green water down below. Impact the biggest of Halo 4s forging environments. It has height, but not so much on the width for its size and open space.

Lol I had many posts regarding the hate for Soft Kill boundaries on the Anniversary maps, along with delete-able Invisible barriers. I really like Trick Jumping and many doors/ ledges are blocked by these invisible barriers :’( found some rad stuff on Majestic only to find out the doorway couldn’t be jumped onto. Guess it prevents camping / HLG Tards, but I really miss the freedom of exploring even the smallest maps.

I personally liked the guardians, and I’m sure they could work in more walls you can see.
