Why can't the Grappleshot take enemy weapons like in the "Carry On" ad?

In the “Carry On” ad, Master Chief takes a Gravity Hammer away from Tovarus using the Grappleshot.
Why isn’t that a feature in the game?

Also, why does Tovarus look different there, and why aren’t there any forest areas like the one in that video?

Because then boss fights would be too easy.

That was a very fast reply.

That’s the point of taking their weapons…
However, they could have infinite grenades, melee attacks (those berserker Brutes are powerful even with only that) and the ability to go pick up a weapon.

The Grappleshot lets you stay out of reach of melee attacks, and you could continuously grapple the boss’ weapon out of their hands.

They should at least add a skull or upgrade for it.
Maybe make it only work when an enemy’s shields are down.

That would make Fiesta really boring as you would get a cool weapon only for it to be ripped out of your hands by someone else. Maybe it should work on grunts/jackals but nothing higher because that would make gameplay more boring and bossfights would be easy.

That already happens to me.

It could also work with only non-boss characters.

I imagine to avoid confusion, if you wanted to grapple an ememy and move to them but instead take their weapon.

I don’t see why that’s an issue.
As it is, they already have it where you grapple weapons instead of going to where you’re grappling.

That was just flashy marketing material. It gets creative liberties that game design doesn’t.

I think what everyone is trying to say is, it doesnt seem uniquely fun. Waddling around the map just yanking weapons out of their hands and killing them. Rather just use 3 more seconds tonkill them and pick their weapon up with the grapple on the floor isnt much of a changer thsn what you want. Its worse since you want it to be on bosses too

As I said after that…
