This has been an issue since launch. However before season 2 you could effectively remove them by tediously turning them on in settings, leaving, returning to settings and turning them back off. But, now that hack no longer works and you are just stuck with speed lines.
Are you on PC or Xbox? Because I’ve played on both an Xbox One and series x and I haven’t had this issue.
Series X. Issue since launch.
I would suggest submitting a ticket on the support site. Like I said I have not had this issue since launch and I’ve used both the one and the x.
On the patch notes I believe they have it listed as a known problem. They stay on even when you turn them off.
See if you have it now. Something has changed with SE2. I used to be able to get them to go away with the process above. Now no matter what - speed lines for days.
I literally cannot stand the effect. Not sure I’ll even play until it’s fixed. It’s super distracting to my eye balls.
Bro, I have had this problem forever now but to no success of getting it resolved…
toggle it on and off and it turns off, have to do it every time you load up the game
According to the release notes, we are now stuck with them all the time. Ugh… So annoying.
"With this update, the team has added multiple new issues to our Known Issues lists:
GLOBAL
Speed lines are always visible, even when disabled in the Settings menu."

That fix no longer works.
343 jacked Speed Lines up since launch. It was a problem even before I upgraded to my Series X. Every time a match starts, I have to go into the settings and turn them off.
That previous fix I detailed above used to work for an entire play session. They just need to fix this already wth?
I never had an issue til this update. I’m on PC (Steam)
Hopefully someone finds a workaround, they’re so irritating.
Experiencing the same issue. Used to be able to toggle on/off for them to deactivate for my play session during season 1. Now they persist regardless of whether they’re set to “on” or “off” after the season 2 update.
works for me still. Still annoying regardless.
They’ve always done that unless you turn them on then turn them back off after every new session.
