Seriously. Just why? With steam workshop being a thing making downloading mods and maps incredibly easy, it’s so baffling to me that there isn’t a way to bring those custom maps into the custom games browser. Obviously if you have EAC off, you can’t join CGB lobbies that have it enabled and vice versa. It’s just always surprised me, right off the bat, that I can’t do it and it bums me out.

The simple answer is because 343 hasn’t enabled it.
There’s not a great explanation why to my knowledge.
It mainly has to do with allowing custom modded content onto the official Microsoft Servers is why (which is how the Custom Game Browser is also run on). Until 343/Microsoft allows this, nothing is going to happen sorry to say., just going to be invite only.
343 should really just rent out servers as a service so players can have this option though. Seems fair to me.
This makes the most logical sense to me, just an absolutely massive bummer. Looks like my childhood dream continues to lay at rest.
