As far as I am aware only 343 announcements are in the news section. Not discussion.
Edit: I mixed up news and announcements. It looks like it should be discussion but there hasn’t been a post in almost a year. I suppose it was closed down, but I can’t really remember any announcement about it.

That section is locked up for some reason. I guess they locked it since you can post H5 news in the H5 section etc…
The reason they didn’t outright remove that section is for archive purposes, in case someone wants to go back and read some stuff from the past.
It used to be that only 343 members could post News articles in there, it was tied to blogs that went on the home page. Once the site re-design went up anyone could post new topics and it eventually got filled with everything until it was ultimately locked. I’d like to see it get used again, has been on my list to bring that up so thanks for the reminder
