I’m game sharing with a friend I know irl, and I have his Gold benefits. But whenever I launch H3 and go to matchmaking, it tells me that the “Playlist is restricted to Xbox Live Gold members”. This doesn’t make sense, as I am able to play Halo 4 and other BC titles online. Anyone got a solution to this?

I found out what the problem is: The ranked platlists require an Xbox Live Gold subscription. You can still play the social playlists if you are game sharing with someone.

Thats wack though go to these links and post on halo 3 and halo 3 odst so they can see that we want that to change

Original Xbox 360 games never had game sharing. It’s still the original game playing on a 360 essentially. If they allow you to play social, that’s pretty sweet considering we didn’t get that for non gold accounts when Halo 3 was first released. It’s unfortunate that the 360 never had nor recognizes game sharing, but, it is what it is.
I’m having an issue with downloading profile. A list of profiles don’t even show up. I have good internet and gold. When I click on h3. It loads the 360 screen , then instantly says downloading 360 profile. A error pops up and says try again. If problem persist contact Xbox support. They weren’t much help. They said it could be servers. I don’t understand. Some friends play it fine.
I was having the same fault could not play due to this gold error but when i downloaded all the maps i was able to play!
I downloaded halo 3 on the Xbox one downloaded all the maps uninstall & reinstalled both game and dlc maps and won’t let me play ranked playlist. Anyone got a clue or found a solution

I personally had the dlc left alone the past day I came home my Xbox one told me each map was finished downloaded ready to start and maps are working for me now
Halo 3 backwards compatible. Downloaded all map packs , some playlists still not working.?

I couldn’t play any of the playlist and I have gold

Was so excited to finally be on h3 again… oh wait nvm I can’t play ranked… pissed
Still not working mine working just fine just zero playing swat playlist 
IF ANYONE IS STRUGGLING TO PLAY MLG AND DOUBLES, AS IT’S SAYING YOU DON’T OWN THE MAPS AND YOU HAVE DOWNLOADED THEM ALL AVAILABLE IN STORE, YOU NEED TO DOWNLOAD THE MYTIC 2 & LEGENDARY MAP PACKS.
YOU CAN ACSESS THESE DOWNLOADS BY LOADING HALO AND ON THE MAIN SCREEN PRESS START GO DOWN TO MARKETPLACE AND DOWNLOAD BOTH THESE MAP PACKS, THE WILL THEN GO INTO YOUR DOWNLOADS THEY WON’T AUTOMATICALLY DOWNLOAD SO YOU NEED TO CLICK ON THEM AND YOU SHOULD BE FINE.
HOPE THIS HELPS I STRUGGLED FOR DAYS TO TRY AND DO THIS.
