how come it rarely ever comes up and when it does its the last option. and hwy does no one ever vote for it? ive been trying to play it ALL day because im almost done with my carbine but i cant even get into it. anyone wanna play?
New is scary, basic law of life… so people prefer to stick to normal UNSC swat, 343i knew this and made it some Covie/Forerunner swat is only in the 3rd slot, and forerunner swat seems to be more common…
My first ever game of swat was covie swat.
It would be more fun if the PP actually did something.
so i noticed. its ridiculous how much the plain boring and mostly competitive crew get to have their way. but i just wanna play some fun variants and not have to be lucky enough to have a full party yet i cant. i cant play covenant swat. cant play ricochet on pitfall. adn i cant play lightning flag cuz people just wont vote for anything but haven. and if i say something in the lobby like “hey lets play covenant swat” instantly haven or whatever the other map is gets four more votes
well i finally played a game of it. only because six people left as soon as voting started and the other guy seemed to be afk for a bit. but it was super fun and i went 24/3/10 . now i really wish they would cycle swat week to week from regular to covie then to forerunner and back again.

I actually don’t see the need for forerunner SWAT, other than to provide variety and pulse grenade workings. Most LR commendations are maxed in lightning flag, and the boltshot is a go to weapon.
Still, I have yet to see a game of it.

im up for playing. and honestly i would use forerunner swat to get my boltshot commendation since i will not use it in normal play.

I actually really like Forerunner SWAT. Headshots seem harder to get, and the grenades are a great addition.
Finally played a game of forerunner swat and i need to go on record by saying i love it. i got 21 headshots with the boltshot. i think im going to try to master my boltshot by only using it in swat.

Wasn’t Halo 4’s entire core experience based around Infinity settings? I don’t know how to interpret that as anything other than a “fun variant” and the competitive “boring” crowd NOT getting their way.

@RavensHa10: yah it was originally based that way but now alot of the playlists are just the basic ones while there have been many new slightly offset variants no one wants to play it so its becoming boring. and because of teh offsets a lot of times especially early on there would be huge threads about how it was for the casuals and blah blah blah. so they come up less often adn things such as normal swat are always there. but this thread isnt about those kinds of conversations so im just going to drop it here.

Glad to hear that you were able to play both game types. We’ve got these fun / specialized modes in the third voting slot to ensure that fans who enjoy the core experience can still find it in each playlist, but if the party is down for a fun / specialized mode, it is available to them.
