Why can't I mute players in game

I shouldn’t have to press the xbox button, and go to the social menu just to look for the player in mute them… I should be able to select the player thu the in game scoreboard…

I just pulled up settings, audio and turned it off, all within seconds in match

That’s not helpful. What if you want to mute just one annoying person only but still communicate with the rest of your team?
I’ve run into people that blast music constantly. It’s so loud that nobody else can hear anything.
It’s not too much to ask since it’s a common thing in MP games and has been a thing in Halo since Halo 2.
