Why can't I level up while playing Campaign?

I don’t know why but I don’t rank up even a little but when I play campaign!! PLEASE HELP!

Because it would become epic xp boost fest.

Because you’re playing as Master Chief and he is already at legend status.

Because then you’d be at a MULTIPLAYER rank of around 20 or so, you’d be matched into games with people with probably MORE multiplayer experience than you, and then you’d complain about it in ANOTHER thread.
