I get home from work to find halo 5 has arrived. I make the dinner feed the baby put the baby to to bed and during all this time halo 5 is installing FROM DISC and it is only 86%. So know what ok got few bits to do around the house so I potter about 20 minutes later I check on install it still 86% 
. Stop it reboot xbox and start afresh nearly hour and half later Iâm back at 86% . I tought xbox one was supposed to better!!! I havenât even got to main menu yet because it is stuck at 86%. Just an idea for Halo 6 split the install over two disc one for campaign and the other MP it speed these bloody installs up and waisting my time and money

After 85% it starts downloading a 9 GB day one patch off Xbox LIVE. How fast the download is from that point is dependent on how fast your internet speeds are (I think).
I feel that the xbox read and writes data below an average speed. Also, Microsoftâs servers holding the day one patch have been slammed for the last week.
Yep, mine took forever too. Left work early to play only to wait an additional 3 hours! lol

Mine took an hour to complete on launch day. Not sure whatâs causing you problems.

Well. Fine. I was mad too when it reached 85 and just slowed to a halt. XD

I had the 9gb day one patch and took about 48hrs to download thanks to my potato Australian internetâŚ
TBH was really over it because I had just decided to start playing Destiny again and had to sit through a 17gb update for itâŚ

Glad you got a laugh, hope it loads soon. I started install straight after work and it finished like 2.5 hours after, just as kids were going to bed so timed well.
Install it during a work day. Start in the morning. By the time you get home form work it will be ready to go.

Hard reset your console. Itâs stuck.
In case you donât know, the hard reset is when you hold the power button down on the console itself until it shuts off completely (for about 10 seconds). Give it 30 seconds, then turn it back on. Itâll take a little longer to turn on. Thisâll clear your cache and resume the install. Hopefully itâll fix whatever stalled the installation.
I am resolved to the fact not going to get a game tonight. Which is really annoying the mrs is working tonight so had the living room to myself. But sheâs getting hair done tomorrow night so hopefully this -Yoink!- update will be done by then.

No I think the Xbox servers data cap you.

Thanks for the tip but trust me there is a 20 month old lady in this house who loves pressing bright buttons.

Usually if itâs stuck on a % thatâs when its getting the patch, now youâre past that the rest should ( hopefully) be quicker.
