Depends on time of day I guess. However, I think that a large part of it is that people just don’t like the new Breakout. Heck, even Greenskull doesn’t like it and he’s been very positive about most of H5.
I don’t like it much either tbh - it was just fine before, but now it’s kinda boring 
I have the same problem, I just don’t bother with breakout anymore.

Ive only been able to do 2/10 placement games since the reset in Breakout
Likely population considering how much negative feedback it’s gotten. Might be the servers freaking out or your internet as well.
Cuz it plays like crap. Shotguns and more power weapons with an awful version of the magnum, the older was better but even then it too was still not popular.
Tbh both versions were lowly populated as people simply aren’t interested in 4v4 elimination matches. It’s not why most play halo. It’s why I was dumbfounded that 343 figured changing it would bring life into something many were never interested in to begin with.

I match in breakout all of the time. Try a full or three person fireteam.
i finally finished my placements i had to search with someone else but we matched the same people everytime lol
I think that somebody needs to build a large and thriving community around breakout. I have taken it upon myself to make Breakout fun for all. I nearly launched I YouTube channel revolving around it, but about 3 days from launch, New Breakout was added, which kinda interfered with the plan.
I have been playing pretty regularly this season and I find games no issues late night
I had that problem in FFA last season, could barely find any games on expanded, and I live in the US! Much better for me now though. Sorry that you’re having the same trouble, I’d recommend posting in the Halo 5 LFG.
I have the same issue with breakout and SWAT.

Maybe you’re too awesome and there isn’t enough uber players playing Breakout. I’ve been ranked from gold to good ol’ bronze. In my experience, my noob levels never have problems matching in the evenings (I usually play solo).
Because the new Breakout is garbo. I used to play it all the time but now I don’t because it’s the perfect storm of trash that results in unfun, repetetive garbage every game.
