Why Can't 343I find balance?

I’m talking about social versus ranked gametypes.

In Halo 3 they had ranked stats and gametypes, and social games and stats. Why can’t 343i go back to this system to satisfy both camps of players? Why does it have to be ONLY ranked or ONLY social? I want both damn it.

I think this problem is being compounded by people gaining rank in arena simply by being lucky and on the winning team, and having only the wins factored into ranking, resulting in people in the platinum ranks and beyond getting less then 5 kills on 18+ deaths average.

Agreed. There needs to be a Social Slayer playlist, in order to weed out the less-competitive solo players that just quit out of the ranked games when they’re about to lose.
Infection and Grifball will likely get playlists too, though I know that’s not what you’re talking about here.
