Why can we only use one attachment for the helmets

It’s cosmetic. 20 characters.

are you joking

But what would they do? No sense having one let alone 20 if they had no effect…

It’s just another missed opportunity for 343, and it’s not just limited to helmet attachments. In certain situations that allow it, we could have had “attachments” for chestpieces and shoulders in the form of knives. The type of knife and how it’s positioned. That way we could actually remake our spartans from Reach, but no. They cheaped out instead of going the extra mile.

Uh.

They look cool on your gun.

Are you new to Halo?

They do a lot in Monster Hunter.
Damage resistance, increased damage, changed damage types, increased ammo, etc.

I’ve been playing halo since CE, stopped at 4. Didn’t play 5 so I don’t know what charms are, I can only assume that if they go on a weapon they must increase damage. Otherwise they would be useless like all of the armor.

None of the armor has ever been useful. No skins, visors, anything, has ever been specifically useful. It has ALWAYS been about expression. Lots of games these days have a weapon charm system where you just, tack on a little keychain or something and that’s that. No extra stats or anything. I’m really glad there’s no extra stats because that’d be weird, unbalanced and so on.

Anyway yeah it’s all just cosmetic.

Then whatever all of that is is useless and a waste of time.

Wow you’re not very fun.

There’s no fun in any of whatever things you are talking about, it’s all pointless and won’t affect the outcome of whatever game you happen to be in

I-… Do you consume protein bricks for meals?

I mean, would you prefer people to actually be able to pay for gameplay advantages? Because that sounds a lot like pay-to-win and I feel like that would be a significantly more foolish thing to exist in the game.
What’s nice about cosmetics is that you don’t have to buy it if you don’t have money or don’t care about it. There’s nothing wrong with spending cash on something that makes you happy.

There’s no fun in it for you, but that’s not to say there isn’t for others.
To each their own.

There’s nothing to be happy about by whiffing money on useless armor. I can’t believe anyone would actually be foolish enough to do this if they know it does nothing at all.

We do it ‘case we wanna’ look cool. Have you never bought a shirt to look nice?

Does an expensive purse really do anything for you? Do spinning rims do anything? Does Makeup do anything? Does wearing different clothes do anything? I mean, not really, but I’m not going to walk around wearing the same outfit everyday like a cartoon character. If you want to, be my guest.

Of course there’s no fun, unless some players think that changing their armor will actually help them…which, seeing as how the word “armor” does imply some sort of defensive benefit, I wouldn’t blame them. Sadly no matter what anyone does none of the armor will do anything to protect them

And I can’t believe you’re actually wasting your time arguing about a topic that you literally don’t care about, considering customization is clearly irrelevant to you. But to each his/her own I guess.

I don’t own purses bro. We all need clothes or else we’d be arrested upon going out in public. What does that have to do with useless “armor” that you don’t even see when playing this game?
