Why can we only use one attachment for the helmets

Vehicles and turrets let you see your armor.

You could say the same about anything in video games really.
Does your score matter?
Does winning matter?
Not really, but people like to have high scores and to win matches.

I think it would be nice to have different cutscenes based on armor, but we probably won’t see something like that being feasible for a while.

I agree! How awesome would it have been for example in Reach to see your character stave off all of the Elites that swarm you in the last mission after unlocking and using a certain combination of armor? Sadly nothing like that is possible and all of the various unlockable items are useless and do nothing at all

They do something, but they don’t change the game.

Maybe we’ll get a PvE mode where they actually change the game, but that’s probably unlikely.

Buddy got the 5 inch tv I see. The Game Boy Color monitor. Playing Halo on Game Pass on your phone. You’re really gonna tell me that armors don’t matter, especially in MCC Halo 3 and Halo 4? People lost their minds over those cosmetics. People lose their minds over cat ears. You can easily identify a Spartan based on their colors and helmets, especially if they’re wearing armor effects. People waste their time customizing their Spartan because they want you to remember their face when they are teabagging you. People customize their Spartans for flex, fun, or personality. Wearing all dark gray will also be only slightly more advantageous than wearing bright colors and flames. If customization doesn’t matter, I better see you wearing the default armor with the default color in every game.

No one with any sense uses turrets, and if they are doing such a thing they should be focusing on their reticle and whatever opponents happen to be inside of it. As for vehicles sure they’re great in objective game types but again whichever player is in said vehicle should be focused upon where they are going or where their reticle is focused if they are a passenger or on the turret. Whatever armor pieces those players are using don’t matter at all

I always use default armor in all games on the MCC as tinkering with any of it is just a waste of time. It’s all completely useless as I learned on original Reach.

They’re actually quite useful.
Also, I can focus on aiming when I need to and looking at how awful my armor looks when no one’s around yet.

What you’re saying makes me wish we had a Halo role-playing game, or that the campaign had more role-playing elements.

Open World quests Spartan Ops would be sick DLC tbh like Destiny

I’m not sure about Destiny, since I haven’t played much of it, or Spartan Ops, because I haven’t played that or don’t remember, but I agree.

Also, sort of off-topic, but I wish there were modes in Infinite where you fight large bosses with others like there is in Destiny.

Well we don’t so the various armor pieces will remain useless, sadly. I wish it had a purpose but it seems like it never will

Yeah, it’s unfortunate, but it’ll likely never have other purposes.

“Other” purposes? It currently has zero, the word “other” implies that it does something

It’s cool to look at, and it lets players stand out from each other.
That’s its current purpose.

I assure you that in-game, nobody is inspecting whatever armor you wasted your time using…they’re simply trying to kill you

That might be true, but I wouldn’t doubt it if some people were looking at the armors others are using.

If so, those players have no idea how to play the game and should be easy kills

That’s not true.
The game has a lot of moments where you’re not trying to kill.

In campaign, sure, but whatever armor anyone happens to have wasted their time using won’t affect anything.

agree. also wish i could throw 20 charms on my weapons.

Never heard of charms, what do they do? Extra damage I assume?
