Why brutes are hairy in Halo 2

The brutes were an effective group in Reach, and were a big part in taking it down. Then, during Halo CE, the brutes took a break, and started watching Halo Legends. Now, it is well known that in the human military, it is not allowed to have long hair. Yet in Halo Legends, the accursed anime film, everyone has hair at least a foot long, and put it in these wacky shapes. Anyway, the brutes started following the examples of this film, and started letting their hair grow, and not cut it, and Tartarus, being the chieftain, had the honor of shaping his hair into a fabulous Mohawk. This also explains why the drones weren’t in CE, because they were combing the brutes’ hair and fetching them popcorn so they can watch anime without interruption. When the prophets declared their break over, they came back into the military, with long hair. It was soon discovered that having hair as long as theirs’ caused great stress, some effects including going crazy when all other teammates are dead, which causes inefficiency in strategy and intellect, and sometimes exploding if too stressed(which is also caused by a certain skull). After Tartarus died, the prophet had enough with the brutes’ hair because of these reasons as well as making him sneeze, so he ordered them to shave off their hair and wear this armor that falls off super easily instead.

Moral of the story: Don’t do what characters in anime do, like, ever.
What else you’ve learned in the story: I hate anime(no offense to Japan).

Made my day!
By the way, I also don’t like anime… can’t tell why…

I don’t like anime either, can’t stand the art style.

These are some really broad strokes with anime, as if there’s only one artistic vision, style, or anything else of the sort. It’s like saying you can’t stand western cinema because of its cinematography.

There are common ‘feels’ (way they move, specific styles of certain character types common throughout, not to mention the - to some westerners, odd dialogue and cultural leanings) though and if you don’t like that then you won’t like anime as a whole. I like the art of Legends for the most part but didn’t like all the anime culture crap, should have been western writers.

If you guys think this tale is meant to sneak in a way to talk about anime in this website, then you’re wrong. I’m just making a humorous theory about why brutes hairy in H2, and H2 only. No need to get up and defend anime, I’m just telling you all what I think of it, and I think it’s just ridiculous. I know some people who are totally addicted to anime, (in particular, Dragonball Z) and judging by what they talk about related to the subject, it’s a pretty insane show. And no, I’m not placing my entire opinion on what these people are saying, I’ve watched some myself, and I don’t like it then, either. Just saying…

I only really like anime made by Sunrise, and even then, it’s more or less required to be Gundam or some other giant robot show. You might be onto something with this story though. This, children, is why you need to remember to shave.

I thought it was because they belonged to a clan of brutes that do not shave and do not embrace new technology.

This is a subject explored in a short story entitled “Stomping on the Heels of a Fuss”, in Halo: Evolutions.

(Joke aside)
