Why bother?

Why bother getting anniversary when i can play the copy i have already?

So i can press a button and toggle hd textures?
No thanks graphics shouldnt be the selling point of a game!

The only nice thing about CEA is going to be the terminals and i can just youtube search that.

So tell me waypoint… Why are you bothering to get this game?

Graphics aren’t the main selling point of a game, but you are lying to yourself if you don’t take them into consideration.

Not getting it until I’m bored of Skyrim, ACR, GoW 3, Trials evolution, Saints row 3, Dead Island and Dead risng 2 OTR.

And by then Halo 4 will be out =)

> Graphics aren’t the main selling point of a game, but you are lying to yourself if you don’t take them into consideration.

I wont lie i do, but this games ONLY appeal other then terminals is its graphics.

Terminals, graphics, remastered soundtrack, and 7 multiplayer maps at $20 cheaper than a full-retail game.

Sounds reasonable to me.

OK you won’t be getting it, great. No need to go around discouraging others from buying it. Some (like myself) want to play it for the memorys, others terminals, so what. If you won’t buy it, fine, that won’t stop me.

Why bother?

The game costs $40.00 NEW.

The standard price for 3 Halo maps is $10.00(800 MSP.)
Halo Anniversary comes with 7 maps.

If you buy Halo: Anniversary, you’re paying $23.00 for multiplayer maps, and $17.00 for the remaster campaign, skulls, terminals, Kinect-features in CE, 3D in CE, and achievements.

Sounds like an AMAZING deal to me.

That is the whole point, people wanted to see what it would look like had it been made today not for much else hence the reason why it’s a remake. That’s what people were asking for everything else is just a perk, don’t get me wrong the perks are amazing but the reason for it’s existence was to show people what it would look like had it been made to day., that is what people originally bargained for so yes it’s graphics are meant to be it’s main appeal.

Did he say it would? People on these forums jump to conclusions way too much…

This

I’m not buying it just for the remastered graphics…more than anything it’s a gift from 343 to the fans…if anything I see no reason for you not to buy it.

Why am I bothering to buy this game?

Because I love Halo, that’s why.

Why buy CE:A? Let’s break it down:

  1. It’s only $40
  2. Nostalgia
  3. New graphics layer
  4. New Easter Eggs
  5. New Skulls
  6. Co-op over Live
  7. Achievements
  8. Multiplayer

I own the original CE too, but I’m still buying CE:A. It’s the 10th Anniversary of Halo and it’s only $40. I mean… come on.

-It’s only $40 and that’s including the $20 map pack you’ll want to buy.
-Achievements
-New graphics
-Terminals
-Skulls
-Co-Op on LIVE
-Graphics toggle option for nostalgia.

The price isn’t as much of a “gift” in the UK, since it’s only five pounds cheaper than a regular game.

If you like gimmicks, than CEA is the best game for you, next to Reach. If you can’t stand all that gimmick stuff than just don’t buy it, like me.

I thought it was £20? That does it, no way am I buying it now :[

Nope, £35 quid. It’s really unfair.
