There is no reason to betray others for a vehicle. It’s quite entertaining to drive away in the scorpion and watch some lonely teammate trying to stick you with plasma nade’s, Only to turn around and see a Banshee blow him up.

Just the way it is online now I’m afraid. Either fight back, report them, or just move on to another match. Hopefully 343i’ll do something about this (Either make vehicles immune to friendly fire, or reinstate friendly fire and have betrayal booting).
Although I agree, betrayals should not be allowed on vehicles holding Team-mates. If 343 was to “turn this off” it would introduce a number of issues, like What if I was indeed driving a vehicle, and the enemy team managed to jump onto the turret ? Would this then mean our own team would not be able to destroy them, simply because a team mate is also inside (driving).
Don’t get me wrong I’m strongly against any sort of team betrayal but maybe a few spartans here and there need to be sacrificed from time to time. LoL

That’s why I tend to think that re-instating friendly fire in matches and having betrayal booting is probably the better decision in my opinion. Yeah, it’s not perfect (the griefers can simply betray you instead of destroying the vehicle) but at least you can do something about it.
I dislike people -Yoink!- vehicles, so I keep firing overcharges of the plasma pistol so they have a disadvantage over the other players. just because I dislike vehicles.
you may dislike vehicles but then you are giving the enemy team an advantage over your own team, the goal being to get your team the win and also the other team will still have vehicles except those vehicles will be aiming at you while your still screwing over your team mates…

Griefers don’t care about that. Team games are of no meaning to them except to troll people and piss them off. Their motivation is simply lulz.

Every time I let my teammates in the Gauss it blows up 5 seconds later. Every time I get in the gauss I get a Killtacular.
Every time I let my teammates in the Scorpion it gets EMP’s 5 seconds later. Every time I get in the Scorpion the game ends in >1 minute.
Every time I let my teammates in the Mantis they sit in our half of the map behind rock. Every time I get in the Mantis…I do the same. 6 DMRS, a Sniper Rifle and a Spartan Lasers target indicator aiming at you is no fun.
Every time I let my teammates get in the Banshee they try to splatter someone with it, or get lasered after I warn them, or just die from some stupid thing. Every time I get in the Banshee, I at least know how to switch to a Banshee Bomb.
Until my teammates prove they actually know how to play, I’d rather have a vehicle spawn 3 minutes later than in their hands.

So you would rather be a little brat throwing his toys out the pram.? Lol, When i first played this game especially with the vehicles I was no god send. Now after PRACTICE and learning the best ways to keep the vehicles out of the lines of sight. I now get very easy 30/5 K/D nearly every big team game, no im not bragging 'm simple explaining if you don’t let people try and fail they will never be able to use them.

That’s probably what 343i was thinking when they made a system that decided that the person who got 2 kills and 8 assists should be granted a binary rifle in his ordnance drop, while the player who has gotten multiple assists and skill kills should be granted a speed boost, needler and grenades.
Oh, and I do let them try.
But when the vehicle blows up, obviously it’s me who learned a lesson, not them.

True, it does seem to favor the “weak” when it comes to the drop weapons. 9 times out of 10 i will never get a power weapon (one shot kill), but i guess its nothing to worry about they will probably just jump into a vehicle anyway and you will destroy them friend or foe. LOL
