Now a lot of people hate AA’s but why??? Because they make the game unfair, they give people an unfair advantage… BUT HOW??? You also have an armour ability and I get killed 5% of the time by and amour ability, it does little to affect gameplay, besides it makes it more fun and unpredictable!
Jetpack: Let’s you fly up, but can get killed easily if spotted. (Gives more movement and sometimes let’s you escape a map)
Active Camo: Let’s you turn invisible but if you move quickly than your spotted.
Regen field: Gets you and your teammates shields recharged but if you step out or it runs out than you might as well get bad luck.
Amour Lock: Nope.
Sprint: let’s you run across the map, but can get shot if spotted
Evade/thruster pack: Let’s you dodge a bullet, missile etc… Two times before you might die.
Hologram: makes a hologram of a spartan can be used to distract people for a second than your out of luck again.
There’s more though but this clearly says why they don’t affect gameplay.
I don’t particularly think that it is unfair because anyone can choose any of the AAs. I would say that they are unbalanced because some are more powerful than others. I would certainly say that it has a MASSIVELY negative affect on gameplay. I strongly dislike the near CONSTANT use of AAs (including sprint) and the affect that they have on maps. Both of these things have been talked about in many other threads, so I won’t go into them. Just trust me, the position has been well discussed.
First of all: please get ‘than’ and ‘then’ right.
Second: Yes, armour abilities make the game unbalanced because not everyone has the same one, they could work if they were map pick ups and they went away when you died but in order to obtain them, your team would have to work for map control.
> I don’t care if they stay, as long as they’re map pick ups, and some of them are toned down a little ie - Jetpack.
I don’t want them placed on the map. I like spawning with an armor ability of my choice.
If they on map I would have to go get one each life which would be annoying and I might not get my favorite ones. Halo is more fun with you favorite armor ability.

Team Rockets can be more fun than Team Slayer. Team Slayers shouldn’t be turned into Team Rockets.

Starting with AA’s can be fun, but that doesn’t mean that Team Slayer should have that. Just like how starting with Rockets or Splasers can be fun, but that doesn’t mean they should take over Team Slayer.
For a further example, I love Invasion and it’s Classes. However, I don’t want Team Slayer to have that, because that doesn’t really match with Team Slayer as well as it does with Invasion.

And I like having rockets and snipers. Makes it easier to kill people. Doesn’t mean I should spawn with them.

But team slayer has always had armor abilities on spawn, at least as long as I have been playing halo, so several years. I dont remember ever spawning with rockets or lasers though, that sounds like action sack.
I’m just struggling to understand all these calls for armor abilities to be map only or even removed altogether I have been reading recently. I though halo players liked armor abilities. I sure do.

Team Slayer didn’t have AA’s on spawn for nearly a decade. The reason you like them being on spawn and struggle to understand why people want them on maps is because you came around when they were on spawn. Had you been playing Halo since the beginning or at least since Halo 3, then I’m sure you would feel different.
If unpredictable gameplay in Halo was even remotely close to being fun, Infinity Slayer wouldn’t have come under so much fire.
Regardless of what happens with armor abilities, the pseudorandomness that has been shoved into Reach and Halo 4 is objectively terrible and kills the player retention.

This is why your arguments and opinions are met with disdain from the majority of the community and hold little to no credibility. You claim to know what is best for Halo and yet you base your very unpopular opinions on your experiences with the last two Halo games. You did not play the first 3 Halo games online, which to the majority of us were far better and more enjoyable games. You even go so far as to state your bias towards Halo 4, and continue to post the same unfounded arguments and champion them as pure genius over, and over, and over, all while ignoring or dismissing the rest of the communities arguments and logic.
Please tell us why anyone should take your arguments seriously when it is apparent that you have based your opinions off of only part of the Halo universe and doing so looking through a tainted and biased lense?
I’m betting you won’t, and will ignore this post like you usually do.

You clearly haven’t been playing Halo long then. Halo was much better before Armor Abilities. If you had played Halo 3, you would understand.
> Now a lot of people hate AA’s but why??? Because they make the game unfair, they give people an unfair advantage… BUT HOW???
Jet Pack, Active Camo, and Promethean Vision are broken as AAs because they give the user substantial advantages that are not balanced enough by disadvantages.
AAs in general are inherently broken because they’re advantages that can be used (1) at-spawn, (2) at-will, and (3) infinitely throughout the life.
> I though halo players liked armor abilities. I sure do.
Sammy, I’m not going to call you a troll, but that’s a very troll thing to say.

Ok, now I think we understand why you don’t understand. The only Halo games you played were the worst 2. Halo Reach and Halo 4, the worst and least played in the series are the only Halo games you’ve even played. No wonder you don’t have a clue what the community wants, as far as Halo fans are concerned you were born yesterday.
Halo players almost unanimously HATE armor abilities. It was the most hated feature in Reach and is why Halo’s population dropped so drastically in the last 2 games. Halo 4 took what everyone hated about Reach and made it WORSE. Now you want them to make everything from Halo 4 and further make it WORSE. See the problem here? You are 100% completely and utterly out of touch with the Halo community.

I reject that, my opinions are no more or less credible than anyone else’s. I am not bias, I have played older halos before (prehaps not online in their hayday but still) and my opinions stand, and I’m not afraid to share them. And why would you think I would ignore you?
> I reject that, my opinions are no more or less credible than anyone else’s. I am not bias, I have played older halos before
Just because you reject something doesn’t make you right. And either you started with Halo “always having armor abilities” as in you’ve played only the 2 recent games or you played the others, you can’t have it both ways.
