Why Armor Sets?

I was just wondering why 343 decided to make armor customization by sets only and not customize piece by piece like in H3 and Reach?

They are sets now? When did 343 confirm that?

> They are sets now? When did 343 confirm that?

Where did you read that they would be sets? Their is a single helmet(or helmet skin) for pre-order… That doesn’t sound like everything will be in sets to me.

Although I wouldn’t mind as it keeps everything clean and you don’t get those kids that go out of their way to look lopsided, really thin, or super bulky.

Damn, I swear there was a source that mentioned it, and it wasn’t a BS source either and it could have been from a bulletin or some, However, the pre-order bonuses seem they only work for just a specific armor set like The WEB to CIO. Honestly though, I could be wrong because I know I did see this particular info from a reliable source.

Do not believe everything you hear from others who are not 343. The armor is not going to be in sets, the armor skin’s are not going to just be for those particular armors either.

As we have seen there is a single helmet in a pre-order bonus eluding to the fact that armor’s are customizable.

Their is a skin for a specific helmet. I think that’s enough verification that their may be more than just sets. It’s honestly really confusing either way. I think their will be an overall set which will consists of the basics like Forearms, Chest, Back, Legs, Boots and Butt plate which will not be changeable as it will be a ‘set’. Then I think you will be able to get Helmet, Shoulder Pads, Knee Pads and other little accessories as separate items.

I’m 90% sure they said that you unlock armor in sets, but that you can mix and match the pieces as usual.

if that’s the case, then that means less time unlocking piece by piece and more armor than ever before!

I’m 84.62% sure that all statistics on the Internet are made up

I’m 100% sure that most people on these forums are going to be confused about armor until the game is released and we unlock it ourselves.

80% of the people on here still think that the pre-order skins are both the armor and the skins.

I’m 98.4684387835% sure that some people have hit random numbers on their keyboard…

onto the more relevant matter now: I highly doubt we can only have certain sets of armour in HALO 4 as they said aesthetic customisation is more diverse than ever before in the “First Look” trailer.

I am 87.3412342% sure that this conversation is leading nowhere.
This is something we should worry about after release.

Listen to the pod casts frankie did say something about armor sets but it also confuses me because he wants players to have more customization so I’m guessing the armor sets are only an option to have for example the oceanic armor.

I’m very confused, is this armor “skins” available for all armor or just a certain armor set that is shown with the pre order bonus? I don’t want to have to get a skin just because it is on the armor that I feel looks good -__-

Halo 3 had “sets”, but you could interchange the pieces… It will probably be like that (I hope)

To clear this up, they’re unlocked in sets like in Halo 3, which could mean we might have to get achievements again, but Franky did say this game had the most customization in Halo yet.

343i has never confirmed this, Armor Sets Are Used to Describe a full set of armor and I believe within halo 4, we earn armor sets instead of stand alone pieces. customisation will still be same like in previous halo games, I believe.

For Example, lets take the Oceanic armor set which is a pre-order giveaway from GAME (UK)/gamestation(America and other place, If i’m correct) This Armor contains all the pieces which will form the Oceanic “SET” and so on and so forth with all the other armor in the game, I believe.

Hope This Helps.
