Why aren't there more team slayer maps?

Team slayer is like, the go-to social gametype. Yet it feels like there’s only 3 maps for it, the covenant ship that’s just one big circle, the plaza, and the outdoor area. Yet Grifball has like, 30 maps (yes I understand it’s easier to make an empty room than it is to make an actual arena, but 3 to 30 or whatever is just absurd).

I honestly feel like there was more when I first started, I remember when the game came out, there was a map that was underwater, and it had sharks or something outside, but I haven’t seen that map once since I got back into the game.

You are correct, it does have 3 maps. Truth, Plaza, Coliseum. The reason why there were so few maps, was to help introduce new players get to know halo 5 quicker.

The social version of Team Slayer literally only has 3 maps for it because it’s meant as an introductory playlist for newer players, but the ranked version has more than 3 maps. If you’re not getting a lot of maps in the ranked version, then don’t back out of the postgame lobby so it doesn’t reset the map picker.

I thought I was just exaggerating. I didn’t know I was right.

I hate playing competitive in games because it brings out the worst in me (mainly Overwatch). It’s just so hard for me to understand that rank doesn’t matter, so it’s easier for me to relax in social, so that’s annoying.

Is that why free for all slayer is no longer a non-competitive option? Because social became the “newbie only” spot?

And because those were the three most competitive maps in the entire thing.

I mean, there’s also BTB maps which are kind of fun…
