Why aren't there DLC playlists?

I recently got the War Games Map Pass to add some more variety to the game. I have been disappointed to see that only the Majestic Team DLC playlist is available. Why isn’t there a play list for Castle or Crimson? Will the playlists rotate or something? It is annoying that I paid good money for those maps and I can’t even play them online.

The playlists will rotate on a monthly basis IIRC.

You do know that the DLC doesn’t only show up in their retrospective DLC playlist right? It shows up in multiple playlists. You can see which ones show up were by going here.

Keep in mind that everyone in your game will need to actually own the DLC before it shows up.

If you’re wondering why they don’t just have multiple DLC playlists at once, then just take a look at Majestic Team DLCs population - at the time of this post, it has 62 players, the lowest of all playlists in Halo 4 as of now. Every DLC playlist has ended up like this a few weeks after release.

It’s more a fault of pay-per-DLC model than anything else. Maps should be free… it’s beyond me why you’d segment a game like this.

Still, a DLC-only playlist would be a_[ huge* boon to Halo 4. Make it 5x5 or 6x6 mixed slayer and objective and I wager you’d get a healthy population._
Otherwise, I find DLC most likely to appear in BTB and Dominion.
And when you finally do get a DLC map, befriend the heck out of everyone… keeping players from game to game is the best way to increase likelihood of getting a DLC voting option.

Why should DLC maps be free?
