Since forms are one of the main things on halo waypoint, I’m just confused on why we have to use a completely separate app to access them. Couldn’t they be implemented as a part of the news section? Perhaps you could swipe between news and forums.
I downloaded the app not too long ago expecting them to be on there as well. If its in the works that’ll be something that hasnt been seen since the bungie era waypoint. Fingers crossed.
I was wondering the same thing too. I was really excited to have a Waypoint app to be able to browse the forums through and was really disappointed when I found out that they wouldn’t include access to them. However I’m relieved to know that we at least have the Discourse app to browse through them on as it makes it a lot easier for myself. Maybe one day they’ll include access to the forums through their own app but for now this suits me fine.
Furthermore it would be great if the Discourse app (or the Waypoint app if 343 decide to do as I said) had the swipe to next thread feature kind of like reddit. It would be a welcome quality of life improvement for sure.
It actually kind of is, but not natively built into the app. You gotta do some digging through menus and stuff, it’s weird. The Discourse app is just a better experience if you want to stay connected to the Forums.

In the Waypoint app open a blog, any blog
Tap/Click the 3 lines on the top left
This essentially loads the website in the app (because the app is basically just the web page rather than a native app)
Go to Community, then Forums

Thanks for the instructions. It worked.
I don’t think it’s there yet due to the app essentially being the Flight version. Hopefully the app will get a new update sooner rather than later.
It shouldn’t be difficult to add forum to app even if not natively, guess I’ll just manage with it, hopefully it get’s added at some point
Yeah, sadly it’s two apps but both work very well.
Waypoint for stats, gear, news, etc.
Discourse for forums.
Yeah, I wish they were there too. I don’t see the point in customizing my spartan outside of the game and I can get news/access forums from the website (I just leave it open in a tab on my phone). I thought that was one of the primary drawbacks of the last app (Halo Channel) and this seems to be opting for the same formula.
