Are you playing because Halo is your number one game always?
Are you playing because you’re tired of BO2?
Are you playing because you can’t afford any other game right now or the game you really want hasn’t come out yet, or is the one you are getting for Xmas?
No polls, just state your reason.
Me:
Halo is my number one game that have any patience for. Forge, Easter Egg hunting, and newly added MM gametypes keep it alive for me.
Im not any more, got my 1000GS and im done with this. Getting those 20 wins in MM was a pain, MM wasn’t even fun. Campaign was too short, some areas were frustrating, all the features that make halo a halo game have been either reduced or cut out.
It’s definitely not because Halo is number one always. I liked Halo CE, loved Halo 2 and spent thousands upon thousands of hours playing the latter. Arguably the most enjoyable game I’ve ever played. Then along came Halo 3, which I found pretty disappointing. I bought a 360 for that game and ended up selling the whole thing after a month. Couple years later I bought one again with Halo Reach, which was only so-so. So far I’m digging Halo 4 much more.
I’m sort of in a love/hate relationship with the game… I suck at multiplayer these days (getting old lol) but Halo 4 lets me play anyways.
But atm I am unable to play because of a really stupid reason. Just went to play and got my worst score in ages… all because I had split my nail on my right hand thumb and it had tore into the soft part behind it. So now when I press the buttons it is agony… even with the morphine I’m on for something else.
But this did point out that I was annoyed that I couldn’t play Halo 4. So maybe it means I like the game more than I previously thought. Either that or I am addicted to wanting to finish the commendations off.

Halo was my favorite game up until Reach. Hate Reach. HATE. So much so that I made BF3 and the CoD series my regular games. Hearing that a new company would be continuing Halo and bringing it “back to its roots” was the hook-line-sinker for me. I do enjoy CoD, BF3 has become boring, but I took a chance and purchased H4 in hopes it would be what they said. It isn’t. The only similarity is the character skins. I did get a chance to play a game of BO2 at a friends after work, and I must say for as simplified they’ve gotten in developing successors that game was fun. Non-stop action. Unfortunately I’m moving so I can’t afford to purchase it, but I did just get a raise this week which will take effect next payday and I’ll be off to CoD land with a bunch of other people. I will check back in from time to time to see if Halo 4 is up to par with its counterparts and other FPS competitors. Hopefully 343 does what they told us they would do in the first place. If not, then so be it. Either way I’ll be shooting up something somewhere, and actually enjoying it.
I’m not playing it anymore and haven’t in about a week because the multiplayer is a broken, buggy mess and the campaign was too short and not that replayable since there are no skulls to find and the terminals were easy, not to mention there’s not much at all in the way of lore to find.
I wouldn’t mind it if 343i weren’t so damn lazy and actually fixed the MP, but sadly that would be wishful thinking.
Because I love this game and it is my favorite Halo game as of right now.
I’ve been playing Dishonored though to take a little break. I already have 1000G and I am SR74 which is a pretty high rank so I am just kickin’ it on Dishonored until Crimson map pack arrives.
Campaign is still worthwhile to play through a couple of times
Spartan Ops is really fun and where the second half will be adding original areas, I’m not leaving anytime soon.
War Games is still really fun to play
Forge needs additions and so does Custom Options.
I still play H4 becasue I love halo. It has been a HUGE part of my life since CE which I have poured years of my life into across multiple accounts. This being the most recent of many. Halo isn’t just a game for me. It was part of growing up for me, and now still in college is a big part of my life. I play HALO because I love it and there will NEVER be another game to replace it.
The only thing whining on this forum does it threaten the continuation of what I love by scaring off additional consumers. My rabid defense of 343 is not neccesarily because I agree with everything they do (even though I agree with many things they do- unlike the vocal few on this forum), but because I realize that you can’t change halo by whining on the forums, they never have listened to forum whiners and they never will! Neither has any game company for that matter. The only thing whining does is do extra damage to the series.
I’m only on this forum to do what little damage control I can before all you whiners choke halo to death. Maybe it’s not what we remembered, but at least it’s halo. (inb4 it’s not halo… even though it is)
I play on Mondays. Spartan Ops releases and everyone is basically excited to run the missions. Team vehicle killing and splattering is low and I’ll join some BTB, while I like playing Team Regicide or some Forge.
After Monday, It’s the board and or maybe some last minute Skyrim. I’m thinking about getting back into BF3.
