Seriously why are you guys complaining like a bunch of spoiled children? This was a hint that 343 actually is listening to us and taking the time to give us what we wanted since Halo 4! Is that not what you guys want? You want another Halo 5?? Can we all just be happy about this and appreciate the fact that Halo may be great again?

I knew one of these threads was bound to happen, people being cautiously optimistic or not liking the new engine doesn’t mean people are complaining.I’m not gonna like it just because it has halo in the title.
Halo as a whole has bad memories for fan. People just don’t know enough on halo infinite to know what to expect, so assuming the worst can be a go to.
This is like clockwork. People are skeptical of what 343 can do and then they do something that generates hype. Some people remain skeptical and folks like you howl at the audacity that people would still be skeptical. It’s not hard to see why some folks are disappointed. Does a change in the art style reflect 343 is listening to fan feedback? Sure, but then again you could argue the mess that was Halo 5 was a result of fan feedback and nobody is offering praise for that. To suggest it is what people want is silly because all we’ve seen is a tech demo. Their claims of including more Master Chief based on Halo 5’s feedback is a skin deep reading of the problems regarding Chief’s role in the story (after all it mentions nothing about fleshing out Osiris or giving Blue Team the respect they deserve). And simply put, some people LIKED the art style of the previous games, so OF COURSE they’ll be disappointed in a change. We aren’t a hivemind.
I have a wait and see approach above all, but for the love of all that is right, TRY to see why people are disappointed rather than jump to 343’s defense when they don’t need it.

I couldn’t agree more. If Microsoft really wants to get serious they should start funneling in former Bungie employees. Halo was such a big thing but now its on the edge of oblivion.

That isn’t going to accomplish much.

It will be some adrenaline into the heart at least. If you look at the tech demo thats what 343 did was inject halo Ce and H3 elements.

It’s a teaser, what do you expect? It’s a simple announcement of the game, the intent is to be vague because it’s still midway in development.

So if they are able to do that why would they need more Bungie folks? And after Destiny I’d prefer they steer clear from Halo.

I think that’s his point though, why is op so hyped and calling other people complainers if all we got was a tease of a new engine and nothing more

So you think that people anticipating Halo 6 news after 2.5 years were mostly satisfied with this teaser?

The Halo community was never given reason why Bungie even left MS. They even fired Marty O’Donnell. Ultimately it was MS who was the problem. Its the stereotypical rock band breaking up scenario where all the good things came to an end and no one understands why.

Define “satisfied”. Do I want to know more about Halo Infinite? Yes. Do I realize development takes time, they haven’t fully fleshed out the game, and remain optimistic? Also yes.

So why would anyone from Bungie want to come back to work with MS if MS was the problem? Ultimately, Bungie’s contract with MS expired and they took a chance to leave.

So why is Destiny basically a spitting image of Halo? Odst and Reach even had easter eggs foreshadowing “Destiny”. They didn’t run from the game they ran from MS.
There was a fallout between MS and Bungie. Bad blood. Not letting the rhinos run free kinda thing. And today we are seeing the result.

They can be proud of the work they did with Halo, but ultimately they were ready for something new, hence Destiny. It’s not a hard thing to grasp, they didn’t want to be “the Halo studio.” As for bad blood, that’s been known of forever, especially after Halo 2.

Great. 343 knows what they are doing then. No reason to look back or forward. 343 has everything under control.
Complaining about other complaining doesn’t really help anything OP, it just adds to the noise. People will like what they see and some will inevitably not, as long as they’re not breaking the rules and being constructive with their criticism them it’s ok to post about what they don’t like and why
