So, I’m still up in the air about buying Halo 5. After the Beta, it still didn’t convince me that I wanted it. So I’m not making this thread to hear “well just don’t buy it then.” I want your honest opinion as to why YOU are planning on buying or have already bought Halo 5. I’ve played and owned all of the previous Halo games, including the Halo 4 Xbox (This Halo 5 XBox looks sweet btw, just don’t have a need for a new Xbox right now.) I’ve enjoyed all of the Halo games, but started losing interest in them after Halo 3. So as I said, please give me your reasons for buying 5, help me make up my mind.
because it’s going to epic lol I mean just browse through the forum and you’ll see all kinds of reasons… the hype following hunt the truth, the campaign to find out the truth, the new mechanics in multiplayer, the new multiplayer modes, and the completely revamped forge. a lot of people will complain about sprint, thrusters, no split screen, and how 343i ruined halo forever but they are just haters. halo 5 will be amazing. feel free to jump on the hype train, there is always room for more! 20 days to launch!

> But to answer your question, Campaign is why I’m buying it
Campaign is a good reason to buy it I guess. Halo story line was probably my second favorite story of all time.
And I haven’t made my mind up yet, I’m just looking for people’s opinions. Never know why some people buy games, it might strike a spark in me reading some of it.
I’m buying it because it’s going to be the best Halo yet. Its had massive improvements in every category; campaign, competitive multiplayer, casual multiplayer, forge, you name it and its better. Also Ive been hooked on the story since Halo CE and need to see what happens as soon as its availible (myself, reading a summary will not do it justice).
I’m not gonna sit here and tell you all the reasons you should buy the game. Bottom line is, if you didn’t like the Beta, maybe just rent the game. Not much has changed on the gameplay aspect since then. Slight tweak to sprint and some weapon balance changes. Other than that the multiplayer is exactly the same.

Forge is a big part of Halo games. I spent a good bit of time in Forge on previous games. I hadn’t seen the Forge trailer until I saw it mentioned in another thread. It looks awesome.
Well there is that insanely awesome Forge they just announced. That glorious addition with the weather and lighting controls, map variants, thousands of items, fully colorable forge pieces instead of boring grey everywhere (Looking at you Reach…), and more…?
It looks amazing even by Halo standards. If you’ve seen all that I’ve seen about this game and are still on the fence, then nothing I say will help you make your decision. Different strokes.

I hated the beta so for me the only reason for wanting to play the game is for the story which is why I pre-ordered it.
There’s a bunch if good games coming up, and Halo 5 is definitely one of them.
I may also play SW Battlefront this winter.
In both cases the gameplay is reason enough to want to play them, and then there is the Halo Universe.
Always a pleasure to come back.
Because Halo 4’s campaign was absolutely amazing, dripping with lore, callbacks, references to the books, and FEELZ. Halo 5 looks to be same, bringing in Tanaka, Buck, Vale, and Blue Team, all major characters from the books and comics, it is teasing about the fragility of Master Chief’s soul, the intense dynamics of UNSC-vs-Insurrection returning after the Great War, and the NSA-like actions of the Office of Naval Intelligence.
Also Warzone looks pretty cool. No interest in Arena. But mostly LORRRRRRRE
I’m buying it, because it seems to have the best campaign so far, because I really love the new abilities (OMG I wish I could play that Beta again until the game is out) and Warzone is something I wished for, for so long!!
And when Forge launches in December, I will probably say goodbye to my social life!

I’ve never been into forge because it was so difficult to get things positioned properly. after the videos of forge yesterday, I can’t wait to try it out.
