A Spartan which can not sprint???

So, stop -Yoink!- on it, it’s a normal thing that 343i make it! Bungie began to intriduice it in Halo Reach, 343i finishes the job!

In the lore, Spartans can sprint at vehicle speeds.
If you consider Halo Legends to be canonically accurate, they can also shoot while doing it…
Hell, while we’re on the topic of lore, why can’t Spartans do backflips and -Yoink- in-game?

I’m pretty sure that Spartans can dance, perform a backflip & prepare lunch too but that’s not reason enough to add it in to the game.
Well for one, sprint upscales everything, basically. There are lots of threads describing the downsides of sprint. Please explain what it is that you do not agree about! 
Short answer:
- Allows players to escape- Negatively affects map design- Forces players to lower their weapon- Significantly decreases the base movement speed- Negatively affects the spawn system- Affects players’ actions predictibility- And, as a result, reduces the skill gapPS: gameplay > lore

Click any number of sprint discussion threads, or especially the “open letter to 343i” that is currently near the top of this forum. This topic has been beat to death.
Very often introducing “realism” to fit the “lore” is completely incompatible with a viable, competitive multiplayer experience. This is a simple concept, I am baffled by how many people in this community continue to struggle wrapping their heads around it.

Also;
• Reduced player base movement speed; if not sprinting game feels slow
• Reduced movement acceleration which makes strafe less meaningful in battles
• Increaded radar range to accommodate quickly approaching enemies
With so many negative impacting influences is a wonder 343 still include it, their whole augment is “it was in the last 2 games therefore an expected ability”. Nonsense!
A spartan can also bake a cake, your point?
Maybe every time you start a game the covenant should come and instantly end it by glassing the planet, they can do that in the lore you know.
