> At launch, Forge will support a basic implementation of File Browser, which will allow you to bookmark, play, and share maps and modes created by players on your active roster. This doesn’t require a “mutual” friendship, but only that you follow the player you want to grab a map from.
What is really preventing a feature that has been standard in Halo since 2007 from getting put it? What is it with this dancing around the issue? Hell, I’m still waiting for a file browser in MCC…where is that?
New game engine, new hardware, new software.
Basically now that they’re giving us File Browser and BEFORE it’s even out, you are complaining about it.
Plus you’re omitting the bit where they say they’re going to continue improving the file browser for Halo 5 over time as well.

Thats besides the point, these are features that should have been in the game at launch. What were they doing for three years?

Developing the engine from scratch, as well as balancing the new abilities and weapons, also write and create a campaign (whether you like it or not) and set up new dedicated servers.
If you read what the basic form of file share was you would realize that its pretty much exactly what it was before, minus one or two features that with further testing will eventually be released

Wrong. This isn’t s full halo reach style fledged file browser.

cause instead of launching a feature with potential problems they are releasing a functional one, then testing it, than add things, than test, and so on, nothing wrong with that
I’m done, seriously 343i just what are you doing these days. Can’t even have a proper file browser, apparently too difficult for 343i to implement. Incompetent devs.
I think you are all missing the point that OP is getting at. Forge mode, File share, proper lobby systems… these things have been standard features for long enough to be expected in all future games AT LAUNCH. Dont get rid of file share so we can have “the evolution of halo.” Eat your vegetables, then you can have the cookie 343. Forge mode first, warzone REQ BS later.

WRONG! They released a buggy server system as a single point but they released an unfinished AND untested game, so essentially this is Destiny 2. If this was an improved Beta than maybe itd be ok, but they screwed up that lobby system and connection so bad with some places it means exactly what i said.

Compare halo 2 and halo 3
Both from different generations (original Xbox- Xbox 360) and 3 years apart.
Halo 3 not only improved existing features, but added a lot more. Had an epic campaign.
What has halo 5 done?
Oh right…it has even less content at launch than the previous title, and it was 3 years apart, and a new console generation. Not to mention it looks very similar to Halo 4.
They have no excuse having the funding of one of the largest companies on Earth.
And don’t use the campaign as an excuse,it was weak and short, not tying up anything from halo 4, and not even touching the epic story that was Hunthetruth. If the campaign was good, then I’d cut them some slack.
