I just decided to try multiplayer again after months of not playing. I’m still outscoring most of my team whom I assume have been playing the whole time I’ve been gone. Why are there so many bad players?
No clue. But it means more players for halo.
Depends on what playlist you are playing. Also probably due to your low ranking. Put some time into the game and rank up and get matched with better players.

Yes I’ve noticed a huge difference as I’ve ranked up, I’d like to think I’m pretty good but it’s hard not to get schooled often in some matchmaking at my level, especially since I mostly play solo.
I mean what playlists are you playing? If you’re actually playing Ranked playlists then it’s just because you have a low rank, if not then it’s just random who you get matched up with.
Yeah, looking at the relatively small numbers of games you played in FFA you were playing Bronze-Gold players which are all below average ranks, your average skilled Halo player is typically Platinum ranked.

Age gaps. Though I don’t think age matters, I remember playing a black ops SnD game, got destroyed by a 12 year old. So I’ll think about this subject.
Also Halo 5’s Arena gameplay is very CoD friendly, and I’ve seen and met quite a few CoD-only players who recently decided to defect to Halo becuase of Halo 5’s, shall we say different gameplay.

Get to onyx in a playlist and you won’t see that many bad players.

Halo 5 isn’t very “COD friendly” at all, I’ve watched COD players play this for the first time and they’re so confused it’s laughable, the only similarities are Halo 5’s speed is faster than previous Halo, besides that there really aren’t any aspects that would match COD.
Because when MLG hosted tournaments, and there was an mlg playlist, thats when people actually tried, now with HCS and no HCS playlist, people in my opinion arent striving to defeat Kampy, ace, iGotUrPistola, etc.

Arena is the HCS playlist?
Apart from people in low rank, that free to play days on late June might have gotten plenty of newcomers to play but still are getting the hang of it.
No one is as good as you. You’re just going to have to accept that. With great power comes great responsibility, and that’s carrying you’re team while pwning all the noobs.
Because of the absence or very little auto aim… its basically how the aim works… I was a gofd in halo 4 as I was very accurate. In halo 5… the aim in halo 5… well… ecen afyer more than 14 days playing I cant get my aim good… I still over aim…( moving more than you want it…) I mastered my aim in 3 months…
So yeah its the aim why people are not very good.
OP hasn’t ranked since preseason. Get ranked and then get back with us. The game probably has no idea who to match you with so you may be getting bronze 1 competition.
