They remove AR from that playlist but kept the plasma pistol. It makes no sense to me.
Why does it make no sense? These two weapons are in totally different categories. I love the PP Pistol combo. I don’t even need to get the Noob Combo to help my team out with it. Start running with it and you’ll see why it’s there.
Noob combo is a legitimate strategy and “pro” players hate the fact that the AR is capable of out-shooting them and their precious BR

They just hate how little gun skill the AR takes to use. They want a playlist that promotes gun skill, not one that promotes heavy use of autos that require very little gun skill.

Lol, didn’t realize what I had written there.

Honestly anything Hitscan and high accuracy lacks the necessity for skill. AR and SMG are very spray and pray but the BR just doesn’t require skill, it’s so easy to use. Going to back to H3 and my god you needed to skill to use that thing, the spread in its burst was painful at times and being projectile meant you had to learn the weapon and lead your target. H5’s BR just doesn’t require skill, it’s four easy trigger pulls but that being said plenty of noobs will struggle to use it still cus, well, they’re noobs. AR also does not require skill but rather knowledge on it’s bloom rate and spread.
Anything that isn’t hitscan and doesn’t track requires the most skill (in my opinion) like plasma weapons (the storm is a little OP) and weapons in previous halo games.
What bothers me is they don’t even try to adjust the weapons in different playlists. Let’s keep the plasma pistol, but don’t nerf the RRR range so it basically can lock on across the map. I know they want universal settings, but reducing the range of something that was obviously meant for bigger maps isn’t a big deal.

I would argue that the random spread of the h3 br is something that reduced the skill gap. I think the h5 br would be just fine with reduced aim assist.
Counter to OS.

Was about to say that but this guy beat me to the punch. It balances out against OS very well if you make it part of your strategy. Without it the OS becomes a little (Not much, but a little) unbalanced at high levels due to… you know… having an overshield.

What these guys said. There more to it then this but I don’t feel like writing up a pile explaining strategy and such for the PP. The PP belongs in the HCS playlist without question though, trust me.

Yeah I get you there, just overall for me hitscan has damaged halo a little. Made long range too easy but I do agree with you

I couldn’t have said it better myself, well done
To shoot people with?
Just kidding, for overshield, noob combo, and generally a secondary weapon
