Why not make them black? or pink? or green?
Maybe its so they don’t intrude upon the gameplay as much as they used to? Heck, why have medals at all?
Because they look ugly. I’d prefer multi-colors for multi-kills, but whatever. It seems most medals are dull colors now.
Because you can have it in any color you want, as long as it’s black.
Tis a shame really… Oh well as long as Jeff still announces my multi kills and sprees I’m happy.

I really hope they’re just place holders b.c. black background medals with white circles corresponding to how long your multi-kill is a dramatic step back in design from all of the previous Halo’s beautiful multi-kill medals, IMO.

I can’t find any pictures of the medals.
And any gameplay I watch is too low quality because it’s being recorded normally.
By normally, I mean without a HDMI link.

Ha, exactly. I really don’t care either way. The colorful ones were nice, but we’ll all get used to it.

I like them, they look holographic now, plus each multikill is actually black with whatever the previous medal star color
double=blue
triple=light blue
overkill=green
killtacular=purple
killtrocity=orange
killimanjaro=yellow
killtastrophe=white
killapocalypse=pink
killionare=silver-blue
If they had been changed to any other color, you would still complain. Shut up and enjoy the game.
I think they look alright from what I’ve seen, although I’ve never been able to see them clearly to make out the colours properly and you never know they could still be altered before the game is released. I’m gonna trust 343 here and say I’ll propably like them. And if I don’t I’ll just get used to them, there were a few changes in the Halo Reach medals I didn’t really like at first but I got used to them and actually prefer some of them to the Halo 3 medals now.
I think they look pretty cool, honestly.

Doesn’t it now pop up saying TRIPLE KILL slap bang next to the crosshair though? Thats more intrusive I reckon.

Oh you guys want to comment on it? Well too bad I don’t have any pictures or anything to go along with my complaints, I will just say it and then expect you all to magically know what I’m talking about.
