Why are the Knights more like Hunters now

I noticed that in Halo 5, to kill Knights you have to shoots the shoulders, and then shoot the back. It seemed that 343 wanted to make Knights more difficult after they added the Soldiers. So they gave knights the same weakness as Hunters. Th knights were already hard to kill in 4, why make them even more difficult. At least make the Knights more like the Brute Chieftains, they were though, but not Hunter level.

Because sadly 343 seems to think that the only way to make enemies challenging is to make them into bullet sponges. I really hope they focus more on AI when Halo 6 comes around. I should be able to kill an enemy because I outsmarted them, not because I unloaded 20 AR clips into them.

Cough Warden Eternal.

You only have to shoot the shoulders then shoot their head when their faceplate opens up with a precision gun for an instant kill.

Do not mention him, I am fighting him on Legendary, and he just takes Incinerator Cannon shots like they are nothing.

Not only is he a bullet sponge, but he’s the only actual boss of the game. Everyone else is either just buffed or in a vehicle. Doesn’t even get any new powers, just a sword, light cannon, and singularity.

They definitely got beefed up but still no where near a hunter

It was more based on weakness wise, like how you have to shoot them in the back to kill them, instead of just shooting them.

I think knights are way more fun to fight in halo 5 then in halo 4.

This. Plus, it’s awesome that Hunters are now a legitimate threat. They’re practically boss encounters in Halo 5.

Hunters are so hard to fight in this game

Either add more bosses or give us more unique ways to kill him other than shooting at him for hours.

You can actually assassinate him when he’s weaker so it goes more quickly.

Really? You can kill them as fast as an elite if you’re on your toes. Pop off one of their shoulders (Done very quickly with Promethean weapons) Or, if you miss the two short windows to get a quick headshot in when they get angry after each shoulder is destroyed, it’ll take much longer. That kind of variability makes the Knights much more interesting in Halo 5 instead of being an enemy you kill in the same way you kill elites.

Now, it should also be noted that these AI are meant to be tackled in a group. If they were easy to take on by yourself, Warzone would be a lot less teamwork oriented. The AI are set to Legendary difficulty if I’m remembering correctly.

The combat isn’t a problem for me, I’m just a bit disappointed the fact they are composed humans is never brought up again in Halo 5.

What indicates when he can be assassinated because no matter how many pummels I do, I never get the assassination animation. I always end up killing warden with a weapon not to mention I still think the majority of your time spent fighting warden will just be shooting him until he’s low enough.

I thought 343 said that Warzone AI will be set around the Heroic level?

EDIT

Yep; Heroic

They did this because people complained about them being bullet sponges with regenerative health

This. This .This. Not mentioned even once, even though it clearly could tie in with the whole AI reclaimer thing.

Although it very well could make an okay plot point in H6. Cortana composing people and leaving them no choice but to join her to avoid inevitable rampancy seems viable.

I found the best way to beat WE was to hit him once with an IC and the just keep a scattershot on his back until he died, at least that’s how I beat all three of him at once on mission 13

Earlier in that same mission you have to face two of him, easy as pie since the SAW called “The Answer” with the explosive ammunition is amongst the pelican wreckage, making those two super easy to abuse.
