Serious question. Johnson looks like he stopped by the all you can eat buffet several times too many before jumping on the PoA. Not sure about the Marines, but the crew aren’t exactly the skinniest bunch either.
Yea the models do seem bulkier, but not in a bad way. It’s like the Marines are actually physically fit, and not the skinny models we saw in the first Halo. Combine that aspect with all the gear they are carrying and I can see why they have the appearance of gaining a few pounds.

It’s how characters in newer games are these days. Bulky.
I don’t mind the marines and sarge but the Elites and Grunts just don’t look right (hint: nearly identical to Reach models). Jackals look great though.
It’s because they are the Reach models. Reach was the fist game where the humans were actually proportionally correct. I’m just glad that it looks like the faces are all new because Reach’s had some really hilarious noses.

The Army Troopers and Marines wear the same armor.
There were some Marines in Halo Reach besides the ones in the final mission.
