Why Are The Female Spartans Models So Bad?

Seriously who designed them they look appalling . I dont even want to use the female spartan model as it just looks like a anorexic person . Reach had better spartan models then this game . It’s only a small thing but it is rather annoying .

Really? The Reach model looked even more slim.

> Really? The Reach model looked even more slim.

Just because they’re not overly “bootylicious” like they were in Reach, it doesn’t mean that they’re “appalling” looking in Halo 4. They are lean, tough, militaristic warriors, not underwear models.

I thought the models were fine, I just though they resized a lot of the armor on the female models to be too small.

Agreed.

I thought they modeled the female Spartan after an athletic female. Really, the only problem I have with the female Spartan is that some of the armor pieces weren’t properly included.

The problem with the female model is that its essentially just a thinner Male model.

Or in the case of the Pioneer sets, WAY too big. Honestly, that’s a wardrobe malfunction just waiting to happen…

The Pioneer one was glitched, it doesn’t resize on females. Totally annoying…

It could have been a lot worse, had halo been around 30 years ago. Then the female spartan would have has a dish clothe in one hand, and a plate of sandwiches in the other…just saying.

I think people fail to realize that the female SPARTAN models in Reach were… Physically improbable.

Let’s face it, the only thing that most people are focusing on when they look at the female models are their… Ahem “Assets.” They don’t want a Supersoldier. They want a buxom Diva with a bubble-shaped bottom dressed up in power armor.

And that’s just not how it is.

To be honest? Halo 3 had it right to some degree.

SPARTANs-- Especially the SPARTAN-IIs-- would be extremely physically fit, and very athletic in appearance. They’d be very lean, very muscular, with little traces of body fat on their entire being. Their entire purpose in life is battle. They’re not worried about what they look like-- They don’t need to be “pretty,” or “handsome,” or “gorgeous” or whatever. They need to be combat-capable to the maximum degree.

Do you know where a female’s “assets” come from? Fat. That’s why most women who are athletic are flat-chested. Likewise, if you see an actress who’s bone-thin but has big breasts? They’re fake. No questions about it, they’re implants. That’s just how the Human body works.

Which is unfortunate, because the “ideal woman” often is extremely thin, especially at the waist, with the assets of a pagan Fertility Goddess.

Which is, more or less, what they are in Reach. And it leads to some disturbing things, to be honest. Have you ever viewed a female SPARTAN in Reach from the side? You see how her spine curves like that? Yeah, that’s a medical condition called “Swayback,” and it’s an extreme case of it as I’m told by a few friends who have taken up a preference to the medical field… And one who has the condition itself. Those female SPARTANs would be in extreme pain at all times from their spine being out of whack.

The books went so far as to say that the SPARTANs were more or less unrecognizable from one another when they were fully armored, distinguished only by Halsey who noted their individual habits and mannerisms. This would lead one to decide that a female SPARTAN would be almost androgynous, perhaps almost masculine in appearance.

Now. Being fair, Halo 4 uses SPARTAN-IVs, who used to be regular people from various branches of the military. So they could have slightly more noticeable curves and whatnot, since they aren’t entirely about combat… As evidenced by Majestic’s deplorable conduct in the first cutscene of SPARTAN Ops. But they still had to pass a fitness exam, and they do have to train themselves physically on a regular basis. They might not be SPARTANs, but they’ll still have a very athletic form.

I will agree that I don’t like the female SPARTAN models in Halo 4. It’s not because they’re not feminine enough, so much as they’re very thin, and they do still look like scrawnier versions of the male SPARTANs. They could stand to have slightly wider hips, simply because that’s the way a woman’s bone structure is, but I’m more concerned by the fact that they wouldn’t have very much muscle judging by their appearance.

TL;DR: Reach’s female models were physically implausible, Halo 4’s need to be meatier without looking like men. People who design them could use an anatomy class.

Aren’t there already a thread about this ? somewere ?

Literally hundreds actually but it’s still fun to discuss every now and again.

This is rather off-topic, don’t ya think mate?

They don’t look bad to me. But then again I don’t stare at my dead spartan so really don’t care. Just glad there is a choice for a slimmer spartan. Never been into the garbage truck size spartans that males became in Reach. Just looked silly with shoulder pads so wide you can see the dude’s armor from behind a corner he’s hiding in lol

read the books. halo 4 actually falls in line with the lore. they aren’t there to be -Yoink!-. they’re men with small muscular -Yoink!-.

Dat yoink on the Reach girls thou!

Seriously though, I think the female model on this game is fine.

Kat.

I prefer the female halo 4 model than male… I want my Spartan to look less bulky but I don’t want to be a girl…

Reach one… well the other guy covered it.
