I thought the AI we’re going to be cool…you know like hott Cortana’s or her sisters—super disappointing.
Cortana’s hot polygons take offense to your post.
I think they’re asking why all the multiplayer AI are just simple shapes, rather than what have generally been people, objects, or crests in the past.
I assume using basic shapes means they can crank out new AI for battle pass with minimal effort. It’s always about the money.
Aren’t the multiplayer AI intended to be simple AI? Not Smart AI like Cortana or Roland. In that regard it makes sense that the their designs are simplified. Even in ODST the Superintendent’s avatar was pretty much just an emoji.
I was under the impression that these were “dumb” A.I. and only meant to preform to a certain extent and not “Smart” A.I. that were cloned from a characters brain.
Also pretty sure the simple polygon method will become slightly more elaborate with the introduction of new A.I. (hopefully) over time while still allowing 343i to not have to stress about making super thematic characters each time they want to crank one out.
I was hoping for Red vs Blue tier AI, Spartan shaped, with tons of personality
What about The Spirit of fires AI, or the goofy AI the PoA ODST’s have described in The Flood
I’m actually miffed that when I unlocked an AI that finally looked different (the one with the hard hat) it turned out he was just a sphere that only looks different under certain circumstances.
I was wondering this too. I have a feeling all their Multiplayer resources went to building the core mechanics of the game from the ground up, and took too long (and with politics) so they cut many cool ideas.
