For many it wasn’t up to Halo standards, too much from the old games were thrown away, and people are upset.
A variety of reasons. Some people don’t like the changes 343i made to the core multiplayer, ie Ordinance drops, loadouts and sprint being some of the big ones. Others are disappointed with the lack of good custom games options. Others have moved on to Call of Duty because their friends play it or they believe it offers a more consistent experience, it does look to have the better DLC options. With Spartan Ops over, some people just don’t have any incentive to come back.
