LET"S STRAY OFF OF GAMEPLAY MOMENTARILY: I loved the music from both Halo 4 trailers but people assume that halo 4’s music will suck because o’donnel isnt composing it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XsM8vjiIWvg
I like the song for this trailer. In fact it sets a a serious tone that i thought was pretty badass to be honest. I dont know why people cant realize that the orginal was halo was 10 years ago. Everyone knew fine and well they would change music and gameplay at some point and just because breaking benjamin and o’donnel wont have music in the game that doesnt mean hell on earth. I thik Tojim will do a great job on music and audio and think that although the music will be different it will create a more mysterious tone for a more mysterious game.
Because all of O’Donnell’s music has kicked -Yoink- and the next composer has huge shoes to fill.
Because we’ve whined about everything else
Yeah I know but he didnt (in my eyes) disapoint so far so I dont think he will later in the series. If he does oh well but i think he’ll do fine.
> Because all of O’Donnell’s music has kicked -Yoink!- and the next composer has huge shoes to fill.
This, so true. Pressure Is on and He can never fill those shoes
Well when you’ve been used to the same guys style for 10 years. I think it should make anyone a little edgy about a new guy stepping in.
I’m personally not to worried. But that doesn’t mean I’m totally comfortable with the loss of Marty.
Because us the fans have become accustom to the music we have been listening to for the last 10 years and it is very iconic to the franchise.
i really hope they stick to the classic Halo music, not that hipster-drummy music from Reach…
im going to go so far as to say this: so far, i dont think im liking Halo 4. no (supposedly) Jeff Steitzer?? no Marty? why dont they just replace all images of Master Chief with a Mega-Man sprite?

I loved reach’s soundtrack.
But I guess to each his own.

What?
Because Marty’s music has shaped Halo, adding some of the atmosphere needed, and helping to emphasize some points of the gameplay. As Cobra said, he has some might big shoes to fill.
Marty’s music has a sort of uniqueness, as with every composer. It’s a sure thing that the soundtrack will be great, but it won’t be the same.

I think he’s refering to the type of drums in this.
Hipsters b-ware.

I’ll say this once.
NO ONE CAN CREATE MUSIC LIKE MARTY.

Hans Zimmer would disagree with you. Along with Thomas Bergersen and Nick Phoenix.
But of course this is just an opinion.
I thought I read somewhere that the music in the Halo 4 trailer wasn’t composed by Sotaro Tojima. I’ll see if I can find the quote. I may be mistaken, however.

I think that the music in the teaser trailer was created by IGN, but the music in the concept art trailer was composed by him though.

Musical director is Sotaro Tojima, who is japanese…All that needs to be said. Halo 4 will have some kick–Yoink- music…Just need to know who the composer is now!
